for max tow with a PB you get the beefier bumper, extra leaf in suspension and less payload.
I'm pretty sure the Powerboost has the extra leaf spring already. You wish get larger rear brakes with Max Tow. Upgraded cooling is part of the package on other engines, but standard on the PB.

Someone on another forum added that the Max Tow gives you the 3/4 floating rear axle the PB doesn't have standard.

An upgraded bumper
maybe a stronger axle?
maybe an extra leaf spring?

Still seems like not much for a grand. Especially if it doesn't actually increase your max tow weight and actually decreases your payload. Definitely leaning toward no on the max tow package if I get the PB and yes with the EB.

This is so weird. Nearly all of the payloads I‘ve seen in the posts are higher than mine for similar trucks. Can’t see the seats adding that much additional weight and the pano roof only adds are 65 lbs.

And this is before the spray in bed liner and hard quad fold Ford tonneau cover and other smaller items such as full weathertech floor mats , ww liners , mud flaps and hood protector. Not only that, its only a 2.4 generator as well. So before adding payload, I’m down around 1200. The door yellow sticker confirms the payload at 1320.

Where did you find or get the top calculator for the weights?

True , but are almost twice as heavy as your US lbs. We can haul more and pull more than US trucks...LMAO :sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:

I probably have one of the lowest payloads but have about every option. Payload wasn't a big deal for me and towing amount was more than fine. 4x4 KR, PB, 7.2 Kw Propower, power tail gate with steps.

@currybob

You obviously have the Panoramic Roof, power tailgate, tailgate step, and automatic foot rails.
Those are the BIG Payload hits.
FX4? (the actual weight isn't published)

But if I had to guess, you have the factory sprayin bedliner? (45 lbs)
And MAYBE you have the 6.5' bed? (only 21 lbs though)

Man I bet that's a sweeeeet KingRanch!

Yea, that's a wicked truck!
And you can brag that you have the heaviest F150 Ford can build short of 21 lbs!

That's literally fully-loaded. ?

I guess 1254 is the lowest Cargo Capacity possible? Lol

The PB has the added weight of the electric motor and battery.
Eric R, you would think Ford would increase spring rates to compensate for the extra weight in the powerboost.

Nice numbers! I knew I was going to get spray in and would have preferred linex as it’s thicker and more coverage on the tailgate but I knew it was also that much heavier than the “thin” factory one.

I’ll also have to weigh the truck sometime as I added a tonneau and cat shield/skid plate. Cat thefts are so rampant and the Powerboost has 4 cats!
Where did you get the car shield/skid plate, or did you have it custom made?

Max Tow Package also includes heavier rated tires, although Ford doesn't seem to mention it anywhere.. Hankook Dynapro AT2 275/60R20 115T 2,679 lbs. /ea.

The Power Boost is a 7300# rated vehicle VS 7000# in the 5.0 or 3.5 EB
So Ford did do just that.

I just picked up my 2022 and traded in my 2021. The only changes to the truck were going from the 3.5 EB (2k generator) to the PB (7.2kw generator) and picking up the CCD suspension and removing the FX4 package because you can't have both. My payload went from 1558 on the old truck to 1308 on the new one. Exactly a 250 lbs difference. Both trucks were 6.5 ft beds so on the EB I had an extra 100 lb allowance on the GVW for that ie 7150 GVW vs 7050 if it were a 5.5 ft. On the PB it's 7350 for both bed sizes.

All this said, I think it comes out to about a 200 lb difference in payload for 5.5 ft beds and 250 lb for 6.5 ft beds.

My 2021 (FX4) and 2022 (Non FX4) Max Tow trucks both came with the Scorpion ATRs. Only difference in tires is that the 2021 had white letters, and the 2022 is an all black sidewall.
