There's a great F150 Ecoboost forum and your truck will find good company there.
Thanks, did not know about that forum. Promptly signed up, started an intro thread, annnnd.... was then banned for trying to use this same user name. Something dumb about a business name not allowed (this is not a business, just a random user name idea). So I had to appeal my ban, UGH.

Mas150, no way, we've seen platinum and limited guys with under 1200 lbs of payload in here already. Glorified luxury sedans with a bed for suitcases or a few mulch bags, lol.

Uhoh. Sorry about that.
The Sherrifs over there are some really good guys. Ecoboost guys, in fact. But it's a very much drivetrain centric forum. It's about the motor/transmission!

They've put up with my tomfoolery for years.

Thinking my truck would be lowest payload PB had I gone for the 7.4 kw .Surely it would weigh at least 30 pounds more then the 2.4 kw on the truck

Feel like posting your window sticker? Curious to compare.

I don’t see why they can’t include payload estimates in the build tool, they have the data. I was sadly disappointed when my truck arrived with a 1222 lb payload sticker. Fortunately, I just tow a 2500lb boat, so it’s plenty for now.

I have a ‘23 KR 601A PB 4x4 7.2kW FX4 with tow pkg and mirrors, moonroof, spray in liner, 360 camera, and tonneau cover- I didn’t realize how much all that stuff added up

I knew PB's were cargo capacity challenged. So, when I was ordering my MY22 PB, I tried to be very, very careful about what options I chose. Mine came in at 1645#. My 2014 which was a steel HDPP, had a cargo capacity of 2286#.

My truck's blend date was yesterday. The tracker still shows "In Production" but when I check My Ford I can use the Towing Calculator and it populated the payload with 1460lbs. I guess that's my actual payload? Lower than I hoped but to be expected I guess for a King Ranch PB 4X4, Bed Utility Pkg, Tow Pkg. Does a higher trim automatically result in a lower payload? Sure seems that way when looking through here.

Most often does. The higher the trim level the more stuff the truck usually has. The more stuff the truck has usually means less payload.

The largest extra payload reducer I see is the optional bed utility package.

Also the number you have is a close guessimate. Will not know for sure until it's weighed after it's built and the yellow sticker applied.

My yellow sticker exactly matched the VIN calculator in October 1787#. Scales measured 1850#, my estimate was in between, but >1800#.
Some say the sticker is the “official” payload. But, when you load and need to check payload status the scales are used. Go figure.
I know of 1 truck with a sticker greater than the max payload published.
Bottom line, more options/trim, less payload. You will need to weigh after loading.

Crazy. My F150 Lariat PB 502a shows 1382 lbs, which is only slightly more than my 2020 Ranger 501a Lariat (1330 lbs). But I like it a whole lot better (other than turning radius and $30k price difference).

~1500lbs of Payload for a sweeeeet KingRanch Powerboost 4x4 is actually something to be proud of. :)

Remember, you aren't carrying around a couple of hundred pounds of generator and fuel cans. (my personal towing gear of the past)

So I tell myself that my 2022 KingRanch Powerboost has more Payload than my 2018 KingRanch Ecoboost did. Although the yellow sticker gave the edge to the previous truck.

No question about weighing after getting the truck. I didn't weigh my truck after getting it, but I did take it to the scales after it was loaded for towing, plus the trailer. loaded for towing. I did a truck only weigh, a truck towing without WDH hooked up, and then after hooking up the WDH.

I check all the numbers against Cargo capacity, etc, and make adjustments if needed.

My 2019 Ranger had about 50# less than my PowerBoost does. Pretty crazy, really, how capable the Ranger was/is.

It was nice, though bed size and interior cargo space was what made me switch. My wife came out of Party City with 6 GIANT bags of balloons for my granddaughter's 1st birthday, expecting them to fit.. I made it work(barely), but had an F150 the next weekend so I didn't have to ever do that again.. 🤣
