As you know or will find out, Ford has no set way it sends out OTA's that anyone has figured out. I would say it was a coincidence you got an OTA. The OTA was probably down loaded to your truck while you were away, hood open, and when you started the truck the update installed. I have tried both...
I have a battery maintainer on my truck and I also have the hood open. I still get OTA's when the Ford Gods remember to send my a tidbit just to bug me...lol
I know this has been asked before - but I can not find the answer. In what folder on the hard drive does FDRS keep the data file/s on the truck that is updated? FDRS sure squirrels them away down deep in a subfolder.
Will check this out. When I have the truck in my shop, I hang the fob on a peg on the wall. I do this so the welcome lights don't come on when I come into the shop or get close to the truck. I have also left the fob in thetruck, but can't remember what happened when I got close. Will check it...
Best thing to do is go the FDRS/MONGOOSE route and DIY it. Or your waiting a long time. You have a full weekend of updates from what is showing. And how many more after these are done is unknown.
@rugedraw - Hello - can you check PTS and see if something is trying to install or is this a PHAMPTON UPDATE? I keep getting the bell on the sync screen and under software just shows the 23-PU1009-SS-NS update incomplete. Did the ABS part of this OTA install?

Congratulations.... Nice truck. One question tho... you bought it from Jeep / Ram dealer? Or have they finally got smart and now sell Fords and just haven't changed the signs?:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure:
