"Old to New"- What did you drive before purchasing

Went from a 2010 Sport Trac Adrenaline to:

2014 FX4 Ecoboost that I traded in today for a 2021 Lariat Sport FX4 PowerBoost!

I am really going to miss that 2014 but with 138,000 miles and getting only 16mpgs the PowerBoost will make a good replacement. And man, with the 502A High optioned out it is a very nice place to be!

I had a 2016 F-150 platinum that I purchased in May 2020. Liked it so much that when the redesign happened, I ordered a 2021 in late 2020 (took delivered in late March 2021). All in, I had the ‘16 for 10 months. Given the very odd used car market, the trade-in cost me $300 in total over those 10 months.

Had a 2019 GMC AT4 6.2 liter. Never loved the GMC. Interior felt cheap despite all the creature comforts. A little concerned that
2021 F150 seems to have A LOT of software issues.

how trade ins can make you some in pocket, I bought a 18 limited in 19 with 17k miles on it, traded for 21 PB limited and got 2 k more then what i paid originally for the truck. Drove 2+ yrs and made 2k.

Prior to the F-150 I drove a 2007 BMW 328 coupe, 6 speed. Bought it new & still have it! It was a custom factory order at the time, for the 6 speed, so the long wait for the F-150 was a familiar feeling.

Here it is getting a new clutch a year or so ago.

Still driving a 2016 Honda Accord until my truck comes in. Great car, only 67k miles, 27-32 MPG. Gonna miss that gas mileage.



We recently found out that we’re expecting a 3rd baby! Not too long after my wife was like “You can’t fit 3 car seats in your car. You’ve always wanted a truck, you should get your truck. What kind do you want?”

My response:

“Wait, what?! Really!?!?”

So here I am waiting to see if my truck or 3rd child comes first ? Baby due end of January. Would be great to take the little one home in an F-150.

So which came first, baby or f150 baby carriage?

I’m currently driving a 2013 Nissan Frontier bought it used in 2017, use it to tow a small Travel Trailer. Had a company car bought the F150 as a retirement gift for myself. Ordered in March. Can’t wait. Also have a 52 F1, last new Ford truck was a 97 F150.

The truck came before the baby

It’s already pulled it’s weight as a family hauler. Took a trip with wife, three car seats, and a dog, plus all the stuff we could fit in the bed. Awesome ride, easy trip. Well worth it
