  1. "Park Brake Fault-Service Now" message

Mine (22 XLT 301A)does the same thing. It seems to be related to how fast I turn the key off after putting in park. If I delay my shutdown 2-5 seconds after going to park, it doesn’t happen.
  2. Cracked Front Diff Housing

I hope mine holds up , because I’m using it like every other 4x4 I’ve owned, for Everything it’s got. If it breaks I won’t buy another ford until it’s resolved. I Really like that 32 valve V8.
  3. Cracked Front Diff Housing

Rubbermount for vibration dampening causes flex in many different ways. A solid mount can’t move around. Just a guess.
  4. Cracked Front Diff Housing

Agreed you have In my opinion every right to feel cheated. I would.
  5. Cracked Front Diff Housing

That is an interesting statement. I worked at a dyno test track in Chandler AZ. You are exactly right. If they had tested the truck like they did in the mid 2000s. They certainly would have broken a few. Not to mention bent a bunch of frame mounted receivers. We tested to failure on a few...
  6. Cracked Front Diff Housing

Clearly the case needs some real support under the driveshaft to restrain the downward force in reverse. It looks like it’s just hanging in the air. Looking at ur photo, that casting sure looks thin. Is it a 1/4 “ thick at the back of the bearing race. I had a thought that it’s likely due to...
  7. Cracked Front Diff Housing

It’s doubtful that anyone who spend as much money and time as the 2021 model group did, would abuse the truck in the first year. It is advertised as a 400 hp 4x4 truck. If some engineer deemed the axle capable, but forgot to think about reverse FOMOCO got a real issue headed there way...
  8. Cracked Front Diff Housing

I believe it was caused by reusing scrap aluminum and not testing it from batch to batch. The mining sources were unable to supply and foundry’s were buying all the scrap they could get to keep production going. Likely QC at the foundry.
  9. 5.0 + E85 Fuel

I don’t know how the 5.0 engine management determines which fuel is being burnt either. it’s probably not hard though. Once it knows it loads a ethanol table to tweak just like gas timing tables.
  10. 5.0 + E85 Fuel

Im running the factory Goodyear AT at 48 lbs in front 42 rear. Something I did notice while using E85 was oil life was a little shorter. I also read in ford manual you should fill at least 75%of the tank when switching. Essentially not mix to much. Which doesn’t make sense to me because E85...
  11. 5.0 + E85 Fuel

I’m gonna guess that you have 3:55 diff gear ratio. It’s really crazy if you slow down to 65 on the Inter state HWY it will 23mpg with 500 lb load in the bed.
  12. This feature caught me by surprise! (Column Shifter)

I don’t either it’s afunction of opening the door in gear and no seatbelt. I think the idea is if you aren’t wearing seatbelt and the door opens , it goes to park incase you fell out.
  13. IWE Grinding

I’m happy to hear you had a good outcome and a dealer willing to listen. My 2022 XLT is making the LF noise on occasion. I shift into 4 hi and back to 2 hi, it goes away. It hasn’t gotten any worse since it started around 8000 miles. I’m hoping it doesn’t get worse, but it sounds like it will.
  14. IWE Grinding

There are several older posts about this noise and it’s cause. oil on ur cross member could be a cracked front diff. Several posts about that too. Extensive info if u do a search.
  15. Supercab Club

I regret not getting the 302A package on my truck. The Halogens are really weak and the LED lights look better.
  16. Supercab Club

what kind of headlights are on it? They look different from my 22 XLT 301A
  17. Anti-Sway bars questions

Are there any F150s that have rear sway bar from factory? I see Dodge and Toyota have them on upper trim trucks. I’d like to find an OEM bar to instal
