With my F-150, I just picked up my Bed Extender.
Also picked up a tailgate seal.
Used my FordPass points.
After points were deducted, I only paid $90.
Will install it this weekend and then post to the "What did you do to your F-150 today"

Why would you need the tailgate seal with the bedrug? I'm doing a bedrug and had one on my 2013.. I see others talking about adding it as well but I don't understand.. What am I missing?

Oh yeah, and I got new tires on my truck.. More aggressive tires make the Platinum wheels look a lot nicer..

The tailgate seal really helps keep dust and water out of the bed of your truck. I have had one on my last 3 F-150s. I swear by them, others, maybe not so much. I do know that when I had a tonneau cover on my 2011 without a seal, it was obvious that a lot of dirt/dust was entering my bed. Especially when off road or on a dirt road. I did not have a bedrug. They're cheap and easy enough to put on.

Today, I used my On Board Power outlets. Super easy to use, no issues and no throwing of codes. Loving it. I used it for my electric edger - folks across the street from me were putting in their new mailbox - they colsed today or tomorrow on their new home. They were doing some deep staring at the truck & I when I plug it in & began edging. It was more like WTH!

Drove to work and back. It was OK.

First time I got to use my F150 for what I bought it for.
Hauled one of my karts to a local dirt track race.
Kart fit in the bed perfectly, truck was awesome, better than the driver. LOL
(finished 3rd in open class, 4th in 100cc)
Felt good to have some dirt under her AT tires and get some mud in the bed. Ha ha
As I learned here, I had to be careful not to break the plastic pieces for tailgate step when dragging the kart in and out over end of tailgate. Nose fit perfectly under retractable cover box.
I used 2 stock lower cleats, with those new rubber wire tie down things from Lowes.
Note: rubber things work great to secure medium loads (160 lb karts).

OK were all doing things to our F150s but I know there are more or us doing things "with" our F150s?
I think we need an official off road thread or sub forum maybe?
Trying to learn more.
I did a little, 13.8 mi, 2,700 foot, off road lunch break today. Over Otay Mountain Truck trail. Pretty mellow trail/road but narrow with sketchy drop offs next to it in places. Hankooks held up ok.
First time up there, I got scared (lol), asked a guy in a Tundra if I could follow him since he said he's been through there a few times. Went perfect following them.
Just found out from Stage3 my RCI skids have shipped, KO2s are still on backorder. yay
Border Protection agents told us a large group of people were coming up a canyon, and they all ran back into hiding when we drove up. Oops. I'm guessing they got them after we left. Agents have been working real hard around the border lately.

Thanks for these pics Rich! I worked for the BP for 14 yrs in that area and Otay Mt. was part of our area of responsibility. Tough terrain. Been all over it on horseback, ATV, on foot and several different 4x4's. Brings back memories!
