lol point well taken. I want the lights to come on when I open the tailgate. And the top light comes on when you open the tailgate. So I assumed that it would tie into zone lighting that way. Maybe I misspoke.
Update 1 - I investigated my options during lunch. On the plus side, you can connect the lights to the plug and not fry anything lol
As a test, I plugged in the LED strip in place of the light and it works!
However, I’m glad I ran that test because I learned that you can only turn on those...
Good point, I hadn't considered that. The manufacturer say it was 6W for each strip, so 12W total (driver and passenger)
I guess I could always try and touch the wires to the unplugged light connecter and hope I don't blow something
Well, since the kit I bought has instructions for...
Question for the group:
I want to add in LED strip lights for extra bed lighting. Can I splice into the existing lights in the bed or do I have to splice into the wiring harness?
I got this awesome lighting kit from F-150 LEDs but the instructions say that I have to route wiring back to the...
@Granger Ford ✅ Ordered.
Been thinking about if I should get this ESP for almost a year (truck date started Nov ‘21 ;)) and decided that with all the electronic stuff and all the issues with the supply chain it would be worth it to get it.
Went with 8 yr, 100k, @ $50 deposit, rental, key and...
The truck came before the baby 😂
It’s already pulled it’s weight as a family hauler. Took a trip with wife, three car seats, and a dog, plus all the stuff we could fit in the bed. Awesome ride, easy trip. Well worth it 👍🏼
I liked the raised because it provides some visual definition to the lettering. And it’s not really raised much above the F-150 indent. But I guess it’s really your preference.
Here’s before and after. I’d share the Amazon link but it no longer exists. 🤷♂️ Mine was $45 but after looking on...
I’ve been thinking about integrating an LED light strip into the LED light in your picture so that way it would work with the OEM buttons. I’ve read about it a few places and seen some YouTube videos. Seems pretty easy and LED light strips are pretty affordable.
You are correct, if you drive with one section open, the wind will blow it closed. You’d have to strap it down some way to keep it from blowing over.
That’s the one con I have. But once you open the first panel, the second panel isn’t latched. And by the time you flip that’s second panMel, you...
Hey Cindy,
I love it. Have had no issues with it. I have the power tailgate and it opens and closes with no issues. I’ve only had it a little over a month and it still looks really clean. Seals on the side have laid down well. I’ve never had a soft tonneau cover but the hard cover with the...
I have not. I’ve been impressed with the water resistance of the cover and haven’t noticed any water in the bed after a rain.
Of course I’ve only had it a month so the seals are still pretty new on mine.
