What did you do WITH your F-150 today?

I ordered the F-150 XLT 5.0 V8 engine. Agate Black, 4x4 but not the offroad package. 302a high it comes w/ 12'' Infotainment screen and leather seats! I'm so stoked! I wanted to add the 360-Degree-Camera, which is $765 but they make you also add the tow package, so it would have been $2,100! So I passed on that, I don't tow anything To be honest I was a Chevy guy but I switched. This will be my first Ford pickup truck.

What made me switch was, the Silverado's are ugly! And while the Chevy's were lookin worse, Ford's started lookin better. I couldn't help but notice them online and in person! They grew on me. The more I looked into the new F-150s I just fell in love I guess. The interiors are better, too.

Did you order the black appearance package? I believe that is the only way you can get leather in an XLT. Not sure but in Canada 302a includes the trailer tow pkg. I initially passed on the 360 camera and then changed my order to include them. Glad I did, I love them!

My last truck was a 2015 F150 but prior to that I was a GM truck guy too. Prior to my 2015 F150 I had:

1994 GMC Sierra Reg cab short box
1999 Chev Tahoe
2000 Chev Suburban
2003 Yukon Denali
2008 GMC Reg Cab Short box
2009 Chev Suburban

ANd those were just the GM trucks... Never mind all the GM cars I've owned over the years.

Yes I ordered the black appearance package, and confirmed w/ dealer it comes w/ leather. Which from some videos it looks like slate or dark grey, not exactly black leather which I would prefer but... At the prices these trucks are at now, this trim and package level would have cost $65,000! Because of that I was probably going to look into buying used or getting the XL. Then I heard of a dealer in Iowa who will sell @ 3% below dealer invoice. So my $65,000 truck is only $57,000! God I love YouTube. (That's where I heard about this dealer).

The 360 camera. I really wanted it, and to add it would cost $765. I was okay with that but then learned to add the 360 camera you have to also add trailer tow package, which I don't need. So to get the cameras would have cost $2,100. At least the truck has a back up camera and sensors in front and sides. Which I hope will help with parking. I don't know. But I'm glad you got the 360! You love it? I tried changing my order last minute to add it, too. But like I said the cost was a lot and I could afford it but I felt guilty. I'm lucky enough to be getting a brand new truck, and I'm getting the large 12" screen and leather seats! Which I really wanted. So God's been good to me, didn't want to get too greedy. Think I made a mistake? Lol

Was voluntold as the troop leader many years ago, so in turn I volunteered my wife is the cookie mom

Ran it against a Kia Telluride in some friendly antics, the 5.0L V8 embarrassed the Kia to the governor but man those new Kia’s haul up top. He had to be going 120 or more and blew by me when the F-150 ran out of steam. Google says top speed is 135 on those Kias, that’s hauling for an SUV, the F-150 shut me down at 105.

This was on a private closed course and was completely legal as per applicable local laws. No forum rules have been broken by posting this. Thank you.
