That looks great!.. I was installing a skid plate the other day and the amount of rust I saw was shocking I know it probably won't hurt anything, but it really just sucks on a $70k+ truck that is only about 6 months old

This reminds me of the time about ten years ago that I got arrested for lurking in a Subaru lot at 1:30AM just checking out cars. The cops must not have been car guys. Had to hire an attorney to get me out of it, but the judge enjoyed embarrassing me a bit. True story.

Yeah that 3M is really sticky stuff.
I let it sit for a couple days to adhere really well. Since then I ran it through the car wash couple times already with no issue.
