  1. Regular Cab SWB build

Nope. I plan to see if the 'auto up' can be disabled with forscan. On my 3 week overlanding trip the auto up stopped working and the bounce back stopped. 🤔🤷‍♂️
  2. Wiper Blades Recommendation?

I've been using Rain X for decades. My blades last well. I clean the blades every time I wash the windshield, even with the gas station squeegee. Always good to try multiple products. I used another type of windshield protectant that did not work any better than rain x and it was quite a bit...
  3. Wiper Blades Recommendation?

Rain X. Not the blades, but the liquid 'polish' that goes on the glass. I hardly use my wipers and they last a long time. It takes a few applications over a short period of time, but I only wipe it on a Every few months. Especially with brand new glass.
  4. Truck Cap vs. bed cover

I went with an ARE MX cap for the extra head room as I camp in my truck. Some people call it overlanding... Every pickup I've owned I have put a cap on.

  6. Using an AGM battery on an old car?

I run an AGM in my 1987 Jeep Wrangler. Works fine and powers the winch with no problems.
  7. 2023 Horn Replacement

On my 2022 the factory horns were located where I mounted the air pump for the air horn I installed. Had to pull the grill out.
  8. Adding Trail Control to 302A

I did that a while back and do not remember off hand what the setting was. I think I did it in the "easy mode" of forescan as I was messing around. Trail control turns on with the selector knob with all the other drive modes. I have never used trail control mode. I did a 3 week overlanding trip...
  9. Free or cheap mods

My camper top came with white led strips. I was able to use the dome switch that came with the top to wire in and switch between new red and the white led strips. Great for camping. If you look carefully there is also paracord running along the roof with a d ring at each end for hanging stuff...
  10. Regular Cab SWB build

Thanks! Four wheel drive was needed, not just for rocky and deep sand trails, but for the steep up and down in the mountains. More specifically Low Range Four Wheel Drive for control and lessening wheel spin. Much of what we did could have been done in 2wd, but not safely or risking breakage. We...

  15. What did you do TO your F-150 today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Loaded it up for a 24 day overland trip through CO, UT, and AZ. I just gotta load the water jugs before departure.
  16. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

Mode 6 on a full OBDII scan tool will show missfire counts for each cylinder. They are probably not high enough to store a trouble code, but looking at those numbers can help diagnose a problem. If the counts are all low it's not an engine missing, but could be a transmission issue. Worse case...
  17. Gen 14 F150s aren't cool apparently... no matchbox car

I could use a Gen 14 F-150 to add to my collection of several F series mixed in with a multitude of Jeeps and others.
  18. NO TRUCK BUT PARTS......

I waited 4 months for my truck to be delivered. Then another 4 months for the ARE camper top. 🤷‍♂️ I waited to get my truck in hand before getting any parts for it.
  19. Regular Cab SWB build

The horn gets attention when needed! It was cheap in cost, but a pita to install because of the grill r&r and those stupid plastic clips all the auto manufacturers have been using for decades now. So changing a whipped pump will be a cheap pita.
