I used the Ford mobile service to fix my recalls. I had the wire harness recall, wiper motor and wiper arm recalls. I took all of 15 minutes to swap wiper motor and arms and satisfy the wire harness recalls.
would use again for the easy stuff.
I’ll keep it until it gets too costly to own or some jackass hits me and totals it like I had happen to my last 2 vehicles. My last truck I kept for 11 years. It was ran into 3 times :mad:. Alway by someone fooling with their cell phone.
I appreciate the offer rugedraw but I live by Jacksonville and it’s a good 12 hour round trip to Miami. My main problem, I think, is I’ve gotta get past the 1.7.0/APIM update issues like the op. Until then I’m stuck. Last time you checked my vin sync had download some 1.7.0. files but...
In 2 1/2 years my maps have never updated. I’m still on the same version as when I bought the truck. In 6 months Ford is expecting me to pay $80 yr subscription fee to keep my navigation. Not a f’n chance.
Ford will only sell both sides. Be sitting down when they tell you the cost. Buy from eBay. Just make sure the part number is correct. I only considered listings that showed the part numbered sticker. That way you are cert that you have the correct sensor cutouts.
I checked out eBay until I found a reasonably priced bumper cover that had no dents. Couldn’t find one without scratches so had it painted. Think it cost me about $300 total. I installed it myself.
