The cars always get a name, sometimes they stick, sometimes they don't. My current truck has a name that never stuck, my daily driver's name did. I haven't thought of one yet for the 150 on order.

My first f150 was Ruby Red so I called her Big Redd. Second F150 is Rapid Red and I call her Junior.

Work vehicles/radios were numbered similarly and you know what they say about old habits. It also prevents confusion because my wife refers to most 4x4's as trucks so we've been numbering them for a couple of decades. lol

My wife calls it "The Mistress" or "Your Girlfriend", so I guess one of those works.

I've never been one for naming my vehicles but this one named herself...

"Christine"

She has a mind of her own.

She won’t let me change lanes without my turn signal.

She slows down when the speed limit drops or someone alone wearing a mask in their Subaru Outback is in the lane ahead.

She hits the brakes when someone stops suddenly in front of me.

She turns my high beams off when another car appears ahead on the road and then back on after we pass.

She turns the windshield wipers on when it starts raining.

She finds her own parking space and parks herself.

She puts herself back into “park” if I try to get out in neutral.

She talks too me and tells me when I say something I wasn’t supposed to.

She changes the temperature for me what I ask her nicely.

She changes the radio station for me and tells me what the new station is.

She finds my destination and tells me how to get there.

She alerts my cell phone if someone opens the door or the hood.

And she doesn’t like my wife!
