ive had direct emails with the software engineers responsible for updates, ive got nowhere. dont get me wrong, i LOVE my truck...i just want them to stop making changes that effect the user experience in a negative way, or at least get the bugs fixed when their update effects things it wasnt...

im well aware, i just think id rather have less things "software defined" i understand the argument for it on the company's side, and from an engineering standpoint. However... from a user standpoint, it can be frustrating, when things dont work right or things changed for no apparent reason

kudos... im in my late 50s and i used to be more of a "techie" but as of late.. i want les and less of it. Hence the old school truck comment. once i retire, i dont want to deal with all the nanny computer aided BS.

whatever.....lol, when i pay 70k for a truck, it should be the way i want, or at least not change from day to day! its not JUST that screens change, but all kinds of things started acting up ever since the first update, glitches, varried and inconsistant. if your phone screen constantly changed...

After each OTA update, Ford has screwed up something with/on my SYNC4 screen and/or with the truck itself. So... i've turned off the automatic updates. this last one, reset everything, deleted all my recent and saved NAV destinations, and now the 12" screen defaults to the SETTINGS screen...

I have a 21' Lariat PB and it's been pretty good so far (knock on wood) my issues to date: the folding shifter broke and left me stranded (it feels like cheap plastic crap) touch screen, NAV and connection glitches after an update lights go on/off randomly if I lock the doors after dark...

Yeah, I'd rather have a colunm shifter than a console that's a POS. :rolleyes::cautious: Personally i'm not a fan of dial shifters AT ALL. The days of a mechanical connection to nearly everything is upon us also.

if it the "folding" shifter, its a P.O.S.! there's a TSB on the shifter. Last year mine brole and left me stranded. Had it towed to dealer, printed out the TSB and took it to them. They ended up replacing the entire shifter "module"

i've owned 3 trucks with full bed rug liners. they were great for "truck camping". However, since the Ford Factory spray-in lines came out, that's what i have. the stuff is practically bullet proof. i just use a Bed Rug matt on the bed floor, that way i have full access to, and can mount things...

it looks like issues witht the wheel well liner (dealer installed option) Y/N? it also looks like compressed felt of some sort. Mine are a more of a semi-flexible plastic, that fit better into place. Also... if this is the work of your issues... be thankful ;) :cool:

oh ok, but still, i noticed the dual tips, exiting from underneath the bumber and not under the rear qtr panel behind the RR tire. i could see a likely situation, using the tailgate work surface with power tools, and having the exhuast rolling up from under the tailgate, right up into your face...

i will never be a fan of anything over 18" wheels on a truck! there are REAL physical advantages of 18's over 20's. there are NO real advantages of 20's over 18's, other than "looks" in a truck, unless it's literally justa mall crawler, you want and need that extra sidewall protection, ride...

i totally agree, feel pretty much the same way. i got a new TT in March, the PB makes destinations, virtually unlimited. i get away for privacy too, so now i can go where other campers cannot. i've also used ito to power my neighbors house duraing power outages this past spring.
