Unfortunately I’m priced out of what I had, or similar.
I bought a camry hybrid for the daily and maybe one day will buy another one… :/
Man, I hate that, it’s hard to overstate how much I hate insurance companies, if you have not already settled, may be worth going to court, you should be able to purchase a similar vehicle after an accident like this, that’s the whole fucking point of insurance.

So that was on my 2015 F150 that was outside the factory 3/36k, but still inside the 5/50k powertrain, anyway, that was really the only major issue I had with that truck.

Now my 2022 had been issue, free but I just got it back from the dealership yesterday actually, more details on that here:

https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/22-5-0-fuel-leak-10k-miles-monday-just-slappin’.17725/

There was no cost to me this time and it reassured my decision to purchase and ESP this go around.
Did you have a 5.0 or the 3.5 in that 2015? I’ve got a 3.5. Read somewhere that there’s been some issues with these throttle bodies on earlier model years. Knock on wood I don’t spring a leak! That’s no bueno. Hope that’s the end of your troubles for a while.

Installed the Bilstein Ford Performance rear shocks after work today. The front coilovers will need to wait until I have the new wheels and tires mounted and balanced. Some helpful tips for others;

1) Mount the reservoir to the shock prior to installation

2) Install the top bolt first as it is easier to install the bottom bolt when compressing the shock

3) If you have Husky liners, either remove them first, or cut notches for the upper bolts to make your life significantly easier

3.5 in the 2015, really enjoyed it outside of that.

5.0 in the 2022

Thanks, I hope it’s the end of my trouble for a while too. I think it will be, but the bumper to bumper ESP for 7 years/60k gives me some piece of mind.

I managed to do this today. Suddenly lots of black vinyl roof thoughts are flooding my mind, I have a video with the flasher relay installed for anyone interested.

Beat me to it. Just installed my Morimoto 3rd brake light as well. Love the look and it's super bright. I'm debating taking a Sharpie to the silver bolts.

Yeah, I sprung for the ESP too. Those Morimoto LEDs are πŸ”₯. If I was to do anything to that XLT front end, I’d go with the Morimoto headlights and grille combo! I’m gonna have to win the lottery to afford those bad boys!

It flashed on brake application, did not engage the turn signals while recording, I can’t say with certainty, but I don’t think signal information is sent to the third.

Checked out the video on their website. You’re right. But they can quick flash as you’re applying the brakes then go solid. Regardless, nice upgrade! I’ll do a photometric calc every so often for work, so I can appreciate the light output and the distribution of the light. That’s quality right there!

One little tip about insurance that is usually not mentioned. Some insurance companies will off a rider you can get that will pay 20% over market value if your truck/car gets totaled. When i picked up my truck $60k it had a MSRP of $73K. (I did wait 11 months for it) I added that rider on the truck and I think it was like $45 for a 6 month period. Pennies for the value.

Speak to your insurance company and see if they offer something like this and it help cushion the blow if disaster strikes.

Ditched the stock all weather mats to Tuxmat. Will see how they do when they settle.
I just put in a set of Baselayers, but dang the Tuxmat is like total coverage! Might have to hook up the backseat for he kids! Thanks for sharing. I didn’t even know these existed πŸ˜”

Threw this badboy on today to check operation and fit. Had a Yakima tilting 4 bike hitch mount that worked on the Tundra I had before that interfered with the F150 tailgate. Made do for awhile with an old tilting Allen 4 bike carrier someone gave me that tilted further and did not interfere. But decided with prices dropping on the swing aways it was time to upgrade and get easy full cargo access with bikes loaded. Works well, with the tailgate fully opening with room To spare and the front of the inner most bike clearing the side of the truck by a couple inches when swung out. At most if the handlebars turn the tire touches the bed which does not bother me.

Swapped out the front seats from sport cloths to Lariat take offs. Took about a hour each seat. Getting the rear set fixed (arm rest removal) and will do that next week.
Overall very simple. Just takes time. Came out great imo.

Curious how difficult that is on the rear. Already have a Lariat but might need to replace a seat bottom on the back. Looking at the take offs on eBay thinking about it.
