(Grasps at straws) could it be the removal of the Auto Stop/Start feature that reduced the 22 MY MPG rating?

There's a thread on that other forum about Gen14 IWEs. Three months of people hand wringing and how inevitable them failing was and how they were going to hard wire switches to activate them...followed by 3 weeks of finally realizing most didn't even have them. Now some think it's a travesty that they don't and they are going to take the front drive shaft out for the summer.

Seems to be most trucks with 4A built after December 2021 or so do not have them.

^ Yep!

That's what we be like. 🤣
A delightful species to observe as long as you remember to not take anything you witness too seriously, or you'll get sucked in.

It's terrible either way from what I've read.

I say it's winwin either way.
If you have the new E-IWE, it won't fail due to vacuum
If you don't have an IWE, it won't fail due to vacuum

See?
Win Win

After thinking about it more the iwe isn't the difference maker. It would show a drop on all 4x4 engine models if that were they case. The Powerboost is the only one that is lower for 2022
I mentioned this in other conversations on the topic. My break-in drive home net me 23.3 MPG hwy on an EcoBoost Lariat with no IWEs (March 22 build).

I didn't hand calc on the drive home. I just hand calc'd my first tank rolling around the city (36 gal tank lasts when you barely drive) and my Fuel Economy screen (with the blue truck) was actually .2 mpg under my hand calc.

My 2022 powerboost with a blend date of 05/20 does not have IWE’s. I’m also averaging 24-28mpg driving easy.

Was it on a 2022 Powerboost?
I do believe the E-IWE is on other trims maybe?
I know of a Tremor with the E-IWE
