I actually was thrilled to discover my 2021 had an Electric IWE. (I've had several F150's with IWE's and a couple required addressing the loss of vacuum)Same here
thats sucks
retro fit?
More than you probably wanted to knowWhat does IWE sand for?
Just tell me what the letters stand for...More than you probably wanted to know

Happened to be mentioned by @Snakebitten before you asked here:"Integrated Wheel End"
And then after you asked here by @tbinmd :Integrated Wheel End
Official Ford terminology for an auto-locking hub rather than a manual locking hub.
Ford's Integrated Wheel End (IWE) system is what locks and unlocks the front hubs when you change back and forth from 2WD and 4WD
I do not have e-iwe on my 22 but had it on my ‘21 as well.I actually was thrilled to discover my 2021 had an Electric IWE. (I've had several F150's with IWE's and a couple required addressing the loss of vacuum)
I don't mind the non-IWE 2022, but I had assumed that was an influence on the reduction of EPA 24mpg to 23mpg. Made sense for about half of it for sure.
But if you have the E-IWE on your 2022, that nixes that theory.
Regardless of why you might want it, you'd have to research the missing wiring harness for it. Unlike some features that are not on a truck but the harness is, I haven't seen any harness/connector just tucked away.I do not have e-iwe on my 22 but had it on my ‘21 as well.
I think I want it tho
Mine is Job 1 2022 built in November. Been sitting in lot picked up this month.Maybe they brought them back for job2.
Harness change jeez
I had both trucks side by side for a week. I wish I knew so I could’ve traced the harness back
Just look to see if your hub has this portion on the back:Maybe I will go out and see if I can determine if my PB has or doesn't have the IWE. My truck is definitely a Job 1 MY22 build. Of course I probably don't know what I'm looking at, though.
