  1. Where to list vehicle for sale?

Any vehicle under around $20k I just park at the end of my driveway by the road and have always been able to find a buyer well above trade in value.
  2. Do you REALLY NEED 4×4?

I see zero reason for you to spend the money on 4WD and unless you left something out the same goes for a winch.
  3. Tesla Cybertruck is waterproof and can serve as a boat to cross rivers, lakes & calm seas 🤯

He isn't now and never was either of those things. I've been in the auto industry for nearly 40 years, including experience suppling Tesla. Nobody I know believed the original timeline when the truck was announced and none of them doubted it would eventually be launched. It is a...
  4. Ford CEO: 2024 F-150 refresh to have 2400 fewer parts

It will definately cost Ford less in the long run...unless of course they screw it up. Rest assured it is not driven by a desire to reduce sticker prices, which is fine with me. I already have my truck and own their stock.
  5. What else am I missing on my "Loaded" Platinum?

I prefer no fingers in the rear cupholders. Fingers in front will crush a foam cup sometimes...too stiff.
  6. Gas mileage computations are NOT accurate

Digital is how it is displayed. The gage still is at the mercy of the signal generated by approximations and with all the variables described in the thread. A digital readout is easier to read but that doesn’t make the reading more accurate.
  7. Gas mileage computations are NOT accurate

Because it is harder to measure how much fuel was used without knowing how much it took to fill the tank. When you want two cups of water to make a cake do you pour it into a measuring cup or try to open the faucet exactly 38% open for 4.7 seconds? And I assume you know by now you are the...
  8. Not a skid plate - official name?

Engine Splash Shield, front (or center)
  9. Anyone else feel the console shifter kinda sucks?

It's just a big oversize switch. Column, console or push buttons on the dash are all fine with me. I am the only person in my truck 98% of the time and have the whole rear seat area and 6.5 foot bed for "stuff" so prefer the comfort and look of the bucket seats...and like the utility of the...
  10. Was the GEN13 a better looking exterior?

You gave that same articulate opinion here in January.
  11. 2023 F150 Lariat packaging question

If you open the info box where you selected 501A it eventually tells you it is "standard"...I assume that means on a Lariat since the 500A is no more.
  12. Removing Rear Axle Block and/or Adding Lowering Shackles: Impact on "On-Board Scale"?

Removing or adding the blocks is a pretty fast and easy driveway job. Do you really even know if that fancy onboard scale even works correctly now? I'd read the scale, load it up, read it again, remove the blocks, load it up and read it a third time. I'm fairly certain you need to start the...
  13. A "what's this?" little white plug thing

    Don't worry about me, I've moved on.🔧
  14. The 'towing' capable EV....

Nissan has such a system under development. The linked page also does a good job of explaining EV vs typical hybrid vs their E-power system. https://www.nissan-global.com/EN/INNOVATION/TECHNOLOGY/ARCHIVE/E_POWER/
  15. A "what's this?" little white plug thing

I tried a basic Google image search and got no real matches.
  16. A "what's this?" little white plug thing

I'd like to know why she's under my truck.
  17. A "what's this?" little white plug thing

I changed the oil in my 3.5 ecoboost today and found this in the drain pan I had under the filter area. I am not 100% sure it fell off the truck, and if it did I assume it's some sort of temporary part/plug that gets pulled off at the assembly plant. It would fit a hole around 22mm (7/8 inch)...
  18. Confusing Ford Email Sync4a/Ford Power-Up

I read the email and slid down several hyperlink rabbit holes that seemed to send me in a sort of abstract circle. I still have zero idea of what they were trying to tell me.
  19. Concerns about being overloaded

I have no doubt exceeded the limit driving loads of mulch 15 miles home but was never worried about being stopped. I rarely tow but wouldn't push the limit if I did so more regularly. Even though I'm in a 502 Lariat 157 wb 4x4, I have a decent payload.
