Been thinking of doing this too. Which did you end up going with? Get one with blue lights or compass?Installed a home-link mirror from Bob's Mirrors. A 20 minute affair including grinding the plastic tabs on the connector.
I considered this for my G2, but determined that the water running down between the inner and outer bed walls wasn't a good idea. I don't know if I was just paranoid.Installed the Bakflip MX4 and am just about to do the drain tubes. I have a Line X spray In liner that I was going to drill a hole into the drain plugs. But I noticed this hole towards the top of the bed and the tube fits perfectly in there. Does anyone know if I can just use this hole and not drill into the liner?
Looks greatβ¦Which 2.5β lift did you go with?2.5β level kit. 295/65R20 nitto ridge grappler. Truck is parked on Slight slope btw. Sits pretty much dead level normally
Not the poster but chiming in.I wonder what the blue light looks like. What length did you go with?
I got this one: this one. I decided on no compass because I already have build in compass in the console. There was a cheaper option but the mirror looked identical to the mirror I had on my Subaru 2014 (HomeLink v4) and that did not work with my LiftMaster garage door opener.Been thinking of doing this too. I have the EGR hood protector, so I readjusted mine and moved it outwards. I used white duct tape to keep it in place. But since its so cheap, I may just get a new one when the NorthEast weather gets warm. Mine now is only slightly hidden by the 3 tiny screws which hold the hood protector in place. Not the poster but chiming in.
The 70 inch is the perfect size. I installed mine yesterday and I like it. The weather stripping covers it in two small spots. I wonder if installed it further back than most of if my stripping is different.
I haven't added a sway bar yet. In November I switched to Load range E Toyo AT3's. As it's winter here in Alberta, I won't tow now until spring. I'm thinking the stiffer sidewall of the Toyo will make a difference as well. We'll see. Really though, the truck towed fine stock. You are literally describing my setup... down to the husky WDH and 23' TT, except my bed is 5.5'. Did you add the sway bar?
Not with my new truck; I've only had it since December and weather was not conducive. I live in high desert Southwest so I was hoping to try some winter camping but alas... not to be just yet. It towed fine with my 2020 that was stock but it had Max Towing. This trailer only has the trailer tow package (not sure why Ford does that) so I'm gonna be watching closely for differences. And I'm always looking at tire usage so I appreciate that info as well.I haven't added a sway bar yet. In November I switched to Load range E Toyo AT3's. Have you towed with your truck yet?
Our trailer only weighs 5,000 lbs wet. So if your trailer is similar, your truck will do fine. Not with my new truck; I've only had it since December and weather was not conducive. My MX4 Drain tube goes to the floor of the bed to drain , not the side you took a pic ofI considered this for my G2, but determined that the water running down between the inner and outer bed walls wasn't a good idea. I don't know if I was just paranoid.
