Dealer update: No more 2021 F-150 orders will be built. MY2022 Order Bank opens Sept 15

Sounds like pretty much any order without a VIN will need to be reordered as a MY22 at this point, although the process is sketchy at best, at least to me.

Checking in on my build with the chat thing and this was exactly what he said.
No Vin....re order a 22.
Anything with a Vin "should" be built??
Really tho I just don't know if I can believe it.

Well a lot of speculation in here, was glad to read through the thread to see some dealers and insiders chiming in to confirm.

Seems like those of us with a VIN/Build Date (10/18) have no idea if we are or are not getting 21MY trucks. If my order is pushed back I’ll have to start looking at other options unfortunately.

As I said... they have taken orders for trucks MONTHS AFTER I ordered mine that have been built and shipped. Trucks with WAY MORE chips and parts than mine. (Your options are very limited in an RCSB)

Today 9/13 still shows In Production and ETA end date of 9/2 (start date 8/27 in the XML data) with no estimated dealer delivery.

I locked in some nice incentives and PCO at the time of order. Hoping at this point that Ford would me the option to submit a replacement order for a 2022 while keeping the incentives rather than giving me a 2021 that has been sitting on a parking lot for months. Anyone have any advice?

I can confirm this happened to us as well. We have 1 2021 left to schedule and haven't been able to schedule that last order yet.

We were anticipating 30+ F-150s allocated to us and because of a covid flare up in Malaysia, production was eliminated for us.

All of your 2021 orders except for 1 was scheduled?

Or you have 30+ 2021 orders that went unscheduled?

I know there’s like 15 of us with 2021 Tremor orders through you that still haven’t been scheduled.

Interesting change to the order tracking site: the vehicle image has been replaced with a Ford emblem. Perhaps an indication that the model needs to be updated (eg MY21 -> MY22)?

Mine also switched to a Ford logo. Lariat Powerboost ordered 7/8, build date as of yesterday 10/1.

I did not want to create a new thread for this question and this particular thread seems to be the most appropriate one. Will this forum just continue on with the 2022 F150 models? If there will be a new forum for the 2022, can some kind soul direct me to it? Thanks in advance.

This is a Ford F-150 Gen 14 forum, 2022 is still Gen 14. A new Gen is when most of the truck is overhauled. There's sometimes a mid cycle refresh which will still be a gen 14, but may have some minor interior or exterior changes. They normally change every 4 to 5 years. If I were to guess, they're currently rolling out website changes for order tracking and build-and-price. Not speaking from authority but, I believe the new model year order books open this week (?).

I was told if you do have a VIN in the order system your truck will be built this year now will be it a 21 or 22 who knows ? going on my 4th push back by the way, from 9/20 to 10/25 to 11/1 to
11/15 now.
