Try and hang in there. I really think this is all just a random lottery, you just have to wait until your ticket is pulled.
I think you're right. Its pure random. Its a massive "datastorm" that Ford pushes out daily.

Either that or us Rapid Red owners are getting a bum deal.....

No. AT&T cell service is. Our trucks have dedicated AT&T cellular data plans for OTA updates that are completely invisible to us, not an add-on/optional fee or service. While some people have confirmed download activity on their wifi network to their trucks, the vast majority of OTA update downloads are coming over the truck's built-in AT&T cellular connection. In fact, there are rumors that disabling wifi completely works better than having it on, despite what Ford encourages all over the place.
Can confirm that the 3.5.3.2 I just received yesterday afternoon did not come over wifi. Interestingly though, I show on the 27th that my truck uploaded 55mb of info to somewhere. By far the largest amount of data ever sent from my truck. It was also the largest download that I can recall, all of 7.9mb.

Maybe they're using wifi to instruct the truck to run some kind of system scan/cellular signal check and then it sends a report back to the mothership and that triggers the OTA initiation? Full disclosure, I am not any kind of IT guru nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn Express. Totally pulling things out of my posterior on this.

I appreciate that but mine doesn’t say recent changes. Still trying to figure out what version I am running. This is what I get in the truck.
OK, I'm going to chime in here Stephen. I see you truck was finally built in late December. Congrats after a very long wait. It's possible there are no new updates for your truck yet. Some things to understand about software updates to our trucks-They don't work like your phone and PC. With them you check for updates & if there are any, you download them. It does not work that way with these trucks. You get them when Ford sends them to you via wifi or the truck's cell modem. The timing is totally out of control of the owner. If Ford has sent you an update, it will show up on the screen pictured above, not before. What software version are you on? That's kind of tricky to determine but find the "About Syc" screen and check the version number. If it says version 22293 Rev 610 you could be already up to date. That was Power Up version 3.5.3.2 (for '22 trucks) which enables you to see Apple Car Play full screen. Power Up version 3.5.4 came after that and updated another module. If you don't have that one yet it will come in due time but don't expect any major improvements from that update. Prior postings on this thread describe the 3.5.4 changes. 3.5.3.2 also did the stuff to enable Alexa and Android Auto full screen but there's some things at Android's end still undone to make that happen. I see you use an iPhone. Can you make CarPlay go full screen? There's arrows in the upper left corner if you have that software update. For iPhone users, who don't use Alexa, that's added feature we've been waiting for with this update.

I hope this helps.....enjoy your truck. I hope it was worth the wait.

Thanks for all the info. Was able to find the about sync and this is what it says. I don’t see a version like everyone else’s. I do not have full screen CarPlay yet. I guess this is a just wait and see thing.

Yup, I think your truck is a bit behind on updates. Others more knowledgeable than me may be able to correlate that revision to a Power Up OTA update version number.

And, yes, you are at the mercy of the Ford OTA update gods.

FYI, you're at a higher version (22012) and revision (321) than I was AFTER I received 3.5.2 in September. Getting 3.5.3.2 yesterday put me to 22293 and 610.
So while you don't yet have the latest two updates (3.5.3.2 and 3.5.4)that some have been getting the last two weeks, you're still ahead of a lot of others.

So I got 3.5.2 in September and my version is 21297 and revision 253. Does that sound right?

I didn't do anything to "trigger" these OTA updates, and I believe from the truck side there isn't much you can do.
The last update I had was in Oct/22.
I think it is just matter of time until everyone gets it.

is this the one that I can change the font using forscan? I been waiting for that before maybe I add the hvac to the radio screen.
