New OTA update after 3.5.4?

Nice. I haven’t driven my truck in about a week but based on yours and others’ experience, I’m expecting to see the second update come through when I’m in it today or tomorrow.

so i have automatic updates on. i also had it set for 21:30 last i checked. Not sure if its still set for that. I know the last few updates happened while i was at work. So NOT at 21:30 haha

I also drive my truck M-F for about 35-40min to and from work. Cell service for At&T is ok as half my driving is out in the sticks. so yeah, seems as if my updates have been pretty steady as of late.

My drives are usually 25-30 minutes each way, wherever I’m going. For each of the previous ones in February, they happened in those windows. The LTE service at my house isn’t outstanding. Waking up the truck and going for a drive seems to trigger it, presumably where there’s better coverage.

I JUST got my truck 100% working correctly again by adjusting things in several modules. Do these Ford updates mess up things you used Forscan to fix? (had to recalibrate ride height sensors in VDM to make scales work, updated BCM for new tire size, reinitialized the PCM, etc.)

I don't think so, but I am not 100% sure.

An OTA update will at times reload and or change "as built" information from the Ford cloud to enable features in the new software. Depending on when you made these Forscan changes, your trucks "as built" information may not have yet propagated itself to the Ford cloud servers and because of this your changes were overwritten. It usually takes a month to a month and a half to for the truck to sync up with Ford cloud after you've made changes with Forscan.

The 21 J1's are finally doing what they should have done from the beginning.

So I am confused I have just gotten updated to 3.5.4 and now I am gettign OTA 22-PU1009 but it has failed to install. Should I cancel it or let it keep trying to install ? my vin 1FTFW1ED3MFB23739

If 3.5.4 installed ok, you'll probably be getting 1007, and 1010 shortly as well as 1009, give it a chance 1009 should retry, again and hopefully it will install successfully.

I have just received 4.2.1 - Software version: 22293_PRODUCT Revision: 610, which shows on truck Sync 4 screens but NOT in Ford Pass app (still shows 3.5.4 - Jan 30, 2023). Strange!
