well lookie here, I just found what I needed f150 lariat powerboost. Definitely want an ESP, but no experience, how many years / miles do folks usually get?
I got mine from Zeigler (my dealer would not match it). I got 6yr/100,000. Remember if you use Zeigler and are paying with a credit card (not financing) to put "Payinfull" in the coupon code. It takes off $250.00.

thanks. I have never had a new truck so I am flying blind. this seems like a safe range.
You really have to decide, how long you plan on keeping the truck, and how many miles you drive a year. Also what you can afford.

Just go for the max years and mileage Ford ESP that covers everything and pick your deductible if you’re interested in using one.

I bought mine from the dealer, but had them come relatively close to the Ziegler/Flood Ford pricing.
The reason was:
I would not have to add crap to the credit card, just to pay off in 30 days.
The deal on the truck itself ( to me) was good enough to allow a couple of concessions and allow some profit on the package sale.
many of these things are going to go full retail, and I ended paying “out the door” with the accessories I had them add, taxes, title, and doc fees ( amount to them going to get my tags and title) just a hair over MSRP.
They did not make a dime on financing or anything else.
The title will show up with no liens.
I don’t think that was too bad for a mid level XLT.
XLT is not a big profit item, yet it is most likely the VOLUME vehicle.

much easier and time conserving to get everything all said and done before taking it off the lot

Are resellers just a US thing or also available in Canada? Based on mileage we typically only have our vehicles under warranty for 2 yrs.

There was a way to buy the American plan and add it onto our vehicles but with the exchange difference right now I'm not sure it's worth it. I did find these guys though http://fordcanadawarranty.ca/

Depends on how long you plan to keep and how many miles you drive each year. I go a little past how long I will keep it, good sale aid it I sell it myself.

If nothing else, these online sites help to get local dealer to sharpen their pencils and match or get very close, like Bryan did. It's an excellent aid to safe customers more money, why I posted this stuff.

One more question for the experts: I remember they tried to sell me the interior/exterior protectant "nano" treatment, and I declined. Since I am now getting a luxury trim I am wondering if anyone recommends getting that or not. (my default is still "no" but just curious on opinions here, I'm guessing I already know the answer)
Look at after market ceramic coat for exterior..
Can't say anything about the interior.

Is that 6 yrs after the original 3 yr warranty.
Or 6 yrs total?
6 yrs total

Mine is 8/100,000
so the warrantee expires 2029 or 100k
You will still be under the basic warrantee for covered items until those expire, and then the extended kicks in.

Has anyone run the numbers yet on the Maintenance plans? assuming 7500 mile oil changes, tire rotations, fluids, etc with avg costs over ~8 years to know how much you save with a pre-pay maintenance plan?
