I tow a 7,500lb (GVWR) 26' (overall) trailer with estimated max 750lb tongue weight. The trailer has wide spread axles that increases stability and reduces the tongue weight compared to a regular trailer.
Here in Southern Alberta we get crazy winds (often over 100km/h/60mph) and I'm actually...
Were they able to confirm it would work with just your VIN? Mine had a few questions and wanted pictures of the screen showing my camera options. Seems like the main thing was whether there's the bed camera on the cab stop light.
As of Sept. 2021 all new vehicles must have tail lights that come on automatically with daytime running lights (due to people not turning on their lights at night). I'm guessing (haven't checked my truck) that the new f-150s already have this implemented which means your trailer lights would...
Mine was built 2/26, shipped 2/27, arrived in Calgary 3/11 and rolled into Lethbridge 3/13. At this point you should be able to put your VIN in here for more tracking details https://www.palsapp.com/
How much did the dealer charge you for them? I'm in Canada but mine wants $35/mirror plus $140 labour to change them. That's around 1.5-2hrs of labour.
My truck showed up at the dealer Saturday! They told me it had arrived by rail Thursday, but were saying they wouldn't see the truck till the end of the Month. I checked palsapp and it showed it was dispatched, and a little while later got this image from the dealer. I went and checked it out...
There's a way to track it by rail if you can get the rail car number, but otherwise you can ask your dealer for updates. Mine let me know it arrived in Calgary yesterday so now I can use the palsapp to track when it'll make it's short trip to the dealer.
I haven't received my truck yet (hopefully starts its build this week) but the dealer said I could use the points towards a warranty or maintenance package if I wanted.
We wanted to put a quad in the box so we needed a 6.5. The moment we said supercrew with a 6.5 he said it would have to be a custom order. The sales guys aren't on commission there (think they get a flat rate per vehicle sold) so they're easy to deal with.
He said our build is a bit unusual http://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=1FTFW1E83MFA96366
Apparently most people don't want a 6.5' box around here, and if they're getting max tow and mirrors it's on a lower trim.
There was a way to buy the American plan and add it onto our vehicles but with the exchange difference right now I'm not sure it's worth it. I did find these guys though http://fordcanadawarranty.ca/
Mine said they want a 10% deposit on custom orders. When we balked at that ($7k) he asked what we'd be comfortable with, said $3k he asked his manager and we were good to go. We ordered mid-Jan got the vin 3 days later and now have a blend date of Feb 24. Everything's lining up with what they...
Mine is a 502A too. When ordering the dealer said there were issues with the bed liner option and under seat storage, so I removed the bed liner (the dealership will do it) but kept the under seat storage.
I don't know about that. I'm in a small city (just over 100k) and ordered from the smaller Ford dealership (there's 2) on Jan 11 and received my VIN Jan 15 with a build date of Feb 24.
After reading all these responses with how long it was taking to even get VIN numbers I was a bit wary submitting my order on Monday (Jan 11).
Excited to say I received my VIN today! (Jan 15) and have an estimated build date, week of Feb. 24. Ford must be ramping up production. I sent in a...
I'm in Canada, but the only things on my deal summary were;
PPSA $16.01 (Gov charge to register a lien for leasing)
AMVIC Fee $6.25 (Gov charge) and
Tire Recycling fee $20 (Gov charge again)
