Looking for 2023 Lariat
After 3 weeks and nearly 800 miles I have noticed several differences in my new Lariat from my old Bighorn

1 The Bighorn has a much better ride
2 The Lariats turn radius is much larger, making it more difficult to park
3 The seats in the Lariat suck, the seam from the leather trim to seat is literally a PIA and the lumbar support is not as good
4 The seat belt rubs my neck no matter how I adjust the seat or the belt itself
5 Being nearly 2 inches taller the Lariat is more difficult to get in and out of.
6 The center console is not as user friendly

I went with Ford since it has a greater payload for hauling and towing, but I will be selling the Lariat the day after we stop camping

The seats in my 21 xlt are terrible. My '87 250 with a vinyl bench seat is better. I don't understand who told ford a more narrow seat with no back support was the way to go. I was hoping that I traded up to a lariat everything would be better. Guess not. Let us know how you make out...

Didn’t you test drive the Lariat or look at one before you bought or are you just someone who likes to bitch and complain about crap. I think it’s your own fault.:cry:

If you needed something for towing or hauling you should have bought a dump truck.

sounds like you went with a ford b/c its better at truck things. seems likes it fits your needs better.

but this post you made makes it sound like you want a MOM U V. that you're lookin for comfort over utility. kinda confusing.

I was waiting to see how long it would take. 🤣

Thread title Ram or Ford?

That's been a good Ole fashion banter-brawl for a century, except "Ram" was a clever way to dodge Dodge, if you ask me. 😁

1. better ride because it's less capable...you can either ride nice to tow/haul a lot
2. Ford actually has a better turning radius....It's just that the 'long' truck for the F150 has a longer wheel base.
Ram 1500 wheel base 144 - 153 inches
Ram 1500 turn radius 23.1 - 24.3 ft
Ford F150 wheel base 145 - 157 inches
Ford F150 turn radius 20.6 - 26.25 ft
3. Not really much you can do here except replace them....
4. This one seems really odd, I don't know that can be the case...my son is 6'2" and my wife is 5'3" and none of us have issues with the seat belt..
5. they do make lowering kits, you could also get some drop steps
6. I just don't even know what you mean by this...

No reason to pick on someone because they are saying what they like versus what their old truck did and felt like.
But he's right, I love my F150...but my 2019 Ram rocked...if I had to walk up and choose either right now...be a tough decision.

The Rams are too big for me, my 2023 F-150 looks like a mini Tacoma next to the Ram 1500s that park at my gym. F-150 is a lot lower to the ground and narrower track but I like not feeling like I am driving a dump truck. Ram is way too bloated, I wouldn’t even be able to park them.

I am simply stating that my 2019 Ram was more comfortable than the 2023 Lariat

I've never owned a Ram, but have been in the drivers seat a few newer models. I can't comment on most of the comparisons, but he's dead on about the seats. The Ram seat blows the 150 seat out of the water. In my opinion, the seat is the weak spot on the new 150's. Too small and overly bolstered for my taste.

Wow, some of you act like I just shot the Pope, I was just giving my opinion of the two trucks. It just happens that I prefer the Ram but that does not mean that I HATE the Lariat. There are many things about the Ram I also did not like but accepted them for what they are.

I read this differently than everyone else.. sounds like the man needs TWO trucks !!
now who doesnt love trucks? I dont really care who makes em. trucks are cool.
this man NEEDS a second truck. he needs different trucks for different chores. thats all
I would like more trucks myself... and maybe a backhoe. or a bulldozer
