  1. 2023 Powerboost “stop safely now” no start

I'm eating a little crow from an earlier post. I'd started down the road of a collateral exchange, but decided to keep my 23 Powerboost simply because I love the generator. I don't want to deal with this issue and nobody should be forced to wait for a fix from Ford. I'm using the two step method...
  2. 2023 Powerboost “stop safely now” no start

My 23 Powerboost had the SSN message a couple weeks ago. 3300 miles on the truck and the first issue. To be fair, it was my third Powerboost and the first two didn’t have any issues. Long story short, mine is still at the dealership and we’re working on a collateral exchange. I don’t have the...
  3. Ford CEO Jim Farley Interview

That made me laugh out loud. You really expect the EV division to be profitable in 2025? They’re already discounting the electric vehicles because sales are dismal. The consumer and the infrastructure aren’t ready for the agenda he’s shoving down our throats. The ICE division is starting To...
  4. Ford CEO Jim Farley Interview

I’m not a fan. He’s directing Ford down a path that’s not sustainable and also ultimately at the expense of tax payers. EV division is losing billions, ICE vehicle prices continue to be inflated the lessen the blow by dismal EV earnings. The consumer is and will continue to pay the price. It’s...
  5. 2023 Tremor with Gateway Module issue

By no means am I defending Ford, but this is becoming a common theme with dealer service. I’ve referenced it in other threads, but the service department at the dealer has some blame here too. They don’t have the tool to perform testing because of the 12” screen? It’s not like screens just...
  6. EDITED: Dragging metal sound; rattle & squeak

A reoccurring issue on these threads is the dealer not being able to assist a customer for a delayed period of time. I would think drivability issues should take priority over an oil change. The more I read this stuff, the more questions I have. 1. Are there so many quality issues that service...
  7. Trailer Tow vs Max Trailer Tow with Powerboost….

Personally, I have no desire to regularly pull 10K with a 150. I’ve owned a bunch of 150’s and 250’s. I just never felt comfortable hauling a really big load with a 150. If I was going to pull anything over 7500#’s very often, it would be hooked up to the back of a Super Duty with the Powerstroke.
  8. that time of the season Exclusive cash offer popped back up

Curious, but were you logged in to your Ford account when messing around with build and price? I’ve been trying to get a PCO and nothing. I even called Ford!
  9. Powerboost 12v battery charging tip

I’m still scratching my head. What does the blower setting have to do with charging the 12V battery? It just doesn’t make sense to me. I’m sure there is a reason and you guys are correct - I just can’t comprehend why the blower speed has anything to do with charging.
  10. Not much air blowing out of far left AC vent?

My left vent is the same way. My 23 has far less air flow from the left vent than my 22. I just adjust the center vent to blow directly on me rather than blowing towards the back seat. He older 150’s had much stronger air flow through the vents. That’s my opinion. Maybe they’ll fix it?
  11. 2024 Information - Colors, Options, What Do You Know?

I’m just anxiously awaiting the color line up. I’m not sure I want to jump into a 24 until I see the changes and offerings at every trim level.
  12. Security Issue - Truck Unlocked Doors without key fob

Something similar - I park outside about 50’ from my back door. I’m outside all the time walking around with my phone in my pocket, but not the keys. Key on the bar in the kitchen and spare in a drawer. My doors will unlock and lights will come on like I’m approaching the truck with a key in my...
  13. i am really getting envious of the hybrid powerboost and others

I traded my Powerboost and realized how much I missed it so I ordered another! The generator and the AC while parked in electric mode are super features.
  14. Ford still removing a lot of stuff on premium vehicles

The heated steering wheel delete aggravates me. I recently ordered a loaded up XLT Powerboost and would have actually gone Lariat if I could have received one with a heated wheel. Leather seats don’t necessarily sway me. If I could’ve gone 502A with the superior headlights and the heated wheel...
  15. High Mileage with Powerboost Drivetrain?

I’ve owned two Powerboosts and neither had an issue. I decided to trade, regretted it and have another Powerboost on order. I was worried about longevity and potential issues that actually never arose for me. Reading about legitimate issues for some on here scared me away. Now I’m going back...
  16. Final date for 2023 orders

I ordered a truck on June 2nd. Already scheduled for June 26th. The May 19th date was inaccurate.
  17. Trailer Tow vs Max Trailer Tow with Powerboost….

I’m about to order another Powerboost and need some info. I remember reading on here that the Powerboost essentially already has most of the components of Max Trailer Tow as equipped from the factory - larger axle, etc. and Max Trailer Tow isn’t needed on the PB. There has to be a few...
  18. 2023 or wait for 2024

I’m anxious to see the color offerings on the 24’s. I don’t plan on going to a 24, but the right colors and options could change my mind.
  19. 5.0 more efficient at 75-80 mph than the Ecoboost engines? Edit: while not towing.

I can’t comment on the ”boost” part of the conversation because I’ve never watched the gauge, but I can comment on the towing comparison. I’ve owned a bunch of F-150’s over the past several years. I’ve owned every engine in this discussion too - 3.5 EB, 3.5 PB and the 5.0. Several different...
  20. 2019 Ram Bighorn vs 2023 Lariat

I've never owned a Ram, but have been in the drivers seat a few newer models. I can't comment on most of the comparisons, but he's dead on about the seats. The Ram seat blows the 150 seat out of the water. In my opinion, the seat is the weak spot on the new 150's. Too small and overly bolstered...
