2023 F150 XLT 157" On Order
Hello,

I currently drive a 2020 XLT F250 6.2L v8 with 4.30 gears, but have on order a 2023 302A f150 5.0L max tow 157" wheelbase. I am in a dilemma of keeping the current F250 for reliability concerns of the f150 max tow package rear axle issues. The F150 is definitely appealing for ride quality but still be able to tow comfortably. What are other peoples thoughts on reliability of 2023 F150 vs 2020 F250?

Thank you.

I went from a 2016 F350 CCSB 4x4 with the 6.2. Knowing your 2020 is quite different but not entirely. I now have a 2022 F150 SC 5.0, without max tow, and 3.31 gears. I tow a 6.5x10 enclosed tool trailer frequently in the Appalachian mountains and its a pleasure compared to the F350. RPMs stay down more than the 350 with 4.30s, and it feels more powerful. I'd estimate my trailer weight at 5500- 6500 depending on what I am tooled up for. I do not worry about the axles or reliability one bit. No regerts.

I dropped the trailer at the dealer when trading in the F350 and hooked up with the F150 immediately lol. Never looked back.
