  1. Stage 2 Whipple Engine Failure 2021 F150 5.0

I can really only think of 2 possibilities there; 1. There was a defect in the piston or rod that was un-noticed by whatever manufacturing quality checks they do. 2. The stock parts can't handle the speeds (piston speed, not vehicle speed) your running. Does the tune you have raise the redline...
  2. Topped off 3 clicks and gas spilled out everywhere

My 2012 and my 2021 were the same. When the auto-stop shuts it off, you're done. Any more and you're likely to dump fuel onto your shoes. So from my perspective Ford's fill system is Full when the pump thinks its full. On another note, you should never top off a fuel tank. That extra volume...
  3. So this happened earlier today (hood popped open)

New Ford Performance hood pin kit. Required for all ford vehicles for their superior performance...or lack of proper assembly and adjustment...either way, these hood pins make your vehicle look like it is meant for the race track! (this is a joke, btw).
  4. Wow. Power seats very noticeably reduce driver leg room 🤪. Is there a work around ?

That is a new one...Ford advertises the leg room in all models at 49.3 inches. Which is measured by an SAE standard is from backrest of the seat to the furthest point in the footwell. If I were you I'd grab a tape measure and compare the STX manual seats to the XLT power seats, get some real...
  5. 2023 Roof Channels

Yeah, those are empty, except for a rubber strap in the back. They provide a channel to catch water from the roof and redirect it away from the door/window, while stationary.
  6. Can anyone recommend a set of airbags for a 2021 Powerboost 4x4?

Airlift has kits that are Powerboost friendly. However, having the airbags on my truck I would strongly suggest looking into Groovicies recommendation of the Roadmaster Active Suspension. With the air bags you have to keep them at 5psi all the time to prevent them from wearing out, thus when you...
  7. Ontario, Canada - two lariat supercrw BAP instock

Just like the 21-23, I just wish you could order the BAP with 6.5' bed....I'm still sad
  8. Random F-150 Photos of the Day - Post Yours! 📸 🤳

You should add, please don't comment on other posts, just post a photo....to keep the thread just photos!
  9. USB Apple CarPlay?

1.) No I believe only the USB's under the 12" screen connect the phone to Apple CarPlay. All other USB ports are charging only 2.)No a MagSafe charging pad will only charge the phone, it offers no other connections, so you would need to connect to CarPlay with bluetooth/wifi.
  10. Getting ready to order 2024 F150 but have a question regarding engine and axle ratio choices

On the plus side, to get your truck from 3.55 back to a final drive of ~3.31 you can upgrade from 33" tires to 35" tires and your truck will be right back running like it would if it had 3.31, only loss here is the tires will likely be heavier, and you'll change the vacuum dynamics under the...
  11. Getting ready to order 2024 F150 but have a question regarding engine and axle ratio choices

I do not know, but my guess' are; 1. emissions, and likely the city driving area. The 3.55 will take less work for the engine and produce less emission from a stop and go perspective, and that sub 50mph. The turbo engine really like to chug fuel if you ever get into just the littlest amount of...
  12. TFL Truck: The Problem with Lifted Trucks That NOBODY Is Talking About...

Basically the issue is people are stupid and think they can get everything for free. They don't do the math. If you add bigger tires, lift kits, winches, accessories, etc.. all these things reduce your payload, and impact the driving, cooling, stopping, and reliability of your vehicle.
  13. 2024 Lariat at Dealer (Agate Black)

Yeah, for Lariat I prefer the 21-23 MY. The rendering of the Plat. looks nice..but no V8 in Plat. All I really want is the FORScan guru's to be able to figure out a way for me to get the new digital cluster design....so much nicer looking, well for the Tach at least..nothing else has really...
  14. 2024 5.0 and Flex Fuel...

Huh, I wonder if on E85 it doesn't quite meet some states emissions or some BS and so they can't 'advertise' it as being such anymore.... Or there is a microchip shortage for the ethanol sensor and it is a new 'delete' for 2024....
  15. 2024 5.0 and Flex Fuel...

I don't think so....it's looks like they snuck that one out of there....
  16. Part Sleuths Objective – Can You Tell Me?

You are 100% correct there, but with a little luck when you search the general area of the truck, like "tailgate" you get a nice blown up image with all of the associated parts shown and can usually drill it down from there to find what you are looking for. But the parts website does still...
  17. Part Sleuths Objective – Can You Tell Me?

appears to be an M8 bolt that is 21mm long. They do not specify the thread pitch....so you'll have to pull one out to know if it is a fine thread or not, likely it is the standard 1.25. You too can be a parts sleuths. go to parts.ford.com and you can look up parts using your VIN so you actually...
  18. Custom Built Adventure Package

Nice job, I sure hope your adventure turns out as awesome as it sounds like it will be! Have you seen the "Trucker seat belt trick" for securing your doors while you sleep? Where you wrap the seatbelt through the door handle and connect it? just adds another layer of security, be safe on your trip!
  19. CV axle oil/wet looking spot on the hub (photo attached)

At least around me dealers have started taking video's during their inspections, they send them to me even. It is kind of nice, takes the mystery out of what the technician did/looked at, they notice my concern and even point out other things. At least that way if the Accy. drive belt is wearing...
  20. Deleting the Pro Trailer Backup Assist knob (Aka Noob Knob)

I think that was my point...what are you going to use the space for?? I bought my truck in 2021, no-deletes and still 20k less than current prices. I fully know how to back up a trailer, been backing them up for 30 years, but that doesn't mean I'm going to not use new technology..Pretty sure...
