Ford F-150 Would you be interested in this Light Bracket? img_3044-jpe

I have designed a bracket that mounts 3 DD pods in this opening. The pods don’t necessarily need to be DD, figuring this out now. This works on 5.0 and ecoboost platforms. You have to switch to the ecoboost lower grille if a 5.0 and some trimming is necessary if a ecoboost. More pics to come as I develop the finished product! Please ask questions and let me know if your interested!

Thanks to @@Captain lead foot, for initial design

Definitely interested. Could it be made a bit more generic than 3 pod mounts by using a slotted hole(s)?

What do you plan to make it out of?

Yes for sure, there is lots of room to play with. You could probably do a 5 pod variant. If you remove the entire center piece you could easily fit five. That’s a good idea with the slotted holes. Thanks

For sure I measured space for 4x 3" pods in that opening. Any more might require some modification.

I don't like the looks of pods. A single strip light would be better for me. Maybe two if they fit. That being said, I assume I could adapt from the mounting holes. That probable makes the slotted holes even more valuable.

That’s the thought right now, if your going to keep the Eco lower trim piece, pods just make more sense. If you remove the center trim piece you could probably stack two 12” light bars. The plan right now is slotted holes. I’ll update as I go!

Right now the plan is 3/16 steel, but I have some prototypes that are 1/4 aluminum.

Prototype V2 has been mapped out, hopefully 3D printing it this week. I’m currently a full time student at TAMU so progress is going to slow until summer. Thanks

Bracket has been fully made into a cad file! This is what I’m thinking will get the job done!

For those wanting to mount a light bar, it definitely can be done. You will just have to modify your plastic trim piece by trimming out the center two bars or fully removing the center piece. You can fit up to a 16” light bar.

Shocked no aftermarket company has come out with a bracket in this location yet, it’s what I’ve been looking for. Definitely interested.

I wish I could find something like this for the 5.0 lower bumper. I'd love to be able to cut middle of center section to put a bar in and still have the top and bottom piece making it look like it belongs there.
I need to find a part number for the 5.0 center piece to try working on something like that.

I almost did that, you would have to use either a super cheap 12in bar or something like a rigid slim. I choose not to do that cause cheap lights suck and rigid is expensive for that small light.
