Why is Ford pushing BAP?

No offense to the older guys (like seriously, no offense lol), but I feel like the chrome stuff is an older generation thing.

I love my Platinum BAP, no chrome/satin aluminum trim on it.

When I ordered my 2022 Lariat I wanted the sport package to take out the chrome with a painted bumper and mirrors. However, that made you get the 2 tone (with red) interior. Since I was ordering Blue exterior I did not want the red additions inside and had to get the BAP to eliminate that red color.

BAP wasn't available with the 6.5' bed, so I went with the Sport package on my Atlas Blue Lariat. I think that it doesn't look as bad as I had feared it would. (Of course, I'm color-blind, so my opinion on this subject might not be all that valuable.)

i’m starting to get tired of seeing blacked out everything on every other pickup truck on the road. i’m contemplating on doing chrome wheels for my truck next year to stand out lol.

Agreed - Agate Black Metallic with chrome is a classy aesthetic and it should look “current” for many years.

too much chrome is a no no for me.
subtle - moderate chrome is fine by me. that's my personal take on chrome lol.

Chrome looks excellent on dark colors. Really gives a good contrast.
Same for black on bright colors red, yellow, bright blue, etc don't look good with shiny chrome to me.
12 years with blue flame chrome package F-150. I love my rapid red DIY BAP. Be nice if the BAP parts cost less but don't care I needed the chrome gone.

Initially I wasn't a chrome fan and was actually going to convert all of it to charcoal and get some alloy wheels (came from having a few black bimmers) but a) the chrome grew on me, b) it looks classy even if it's a bit dirty (that's what turns me off BAP - look great in eg white but an all black dirty truck looks like something out of mad max), c) I couldn't justify spending $1000's on wheels as the ones it came with (20's) are round enough and suit it.....

In buying my new one now I wanted to get away from black because of the Texas sun, but if you exclude BAP then the only other color I liked with chrome was the dark blue, so I figured that was just as hot and went with Agate again....

I guess I must be old then as the chrome grew on me... and yes I do actually polish it

I like it on my Avalanche XLT and have tried to eliminate all color. I like it, some may find it boring, and maybe chics dig it ) but really, I just was tired of chrome. For color I have a Grabber Blue Mustang, it is sans Chrome also.
