Curious how up to date your modules software is. What's your VIN?

I will put a scope on mine and take some pics. I need to find a load with exposed 120V terminals I can connect up which is not as easy as it used to be lol.

Well, I also have a COVID era ‘21 Powerboost and haven’t had a problem and I use it with a high temp coffee maker in and out of a TT that draws 1400 watts—more than your Pixie. Can’t necessarily blame every issue on COVID.

In any event, there has been at least one software update for the DCACA module that controls the inverter for the ‘21 PB. I’d look there first before ripping out the inverter.

Although unlikely, I’d still double check to make sure you did your bed testing at full power (which “respectfully” you haven’t confirmed). The default Pro Power setting when you first turn on the truck is low power. Even the 30 amp adapter would work in low power mode if it was constructed to tap the A circuit (most of these 30A adapters have one dead pin and tap either the A or B circuit but not both) and in that case it would supply only 400 watts unless you manually switched the generator on. Unlike other inverters you may have used, Pro Power has two power modes and it would probably be worth the small time expenditure to double-check which one you used.
Thanks for pointing that out. When testing I did turn on generator mode. The software updates on the F150 are also current though it may be possible the DCACA module update is not automatic. I'll check around for an oscilloscope or get a Hantek USB oscilloscope. I am always looking for an excuse to get a new tool. :)

you can delete the vin. You need some updates which leads me to believe that though not pictured, you've got a DCACA update that'd fix it.

The DCACA update has been around for awhile. I applied it via FDRS in January 2022. I don’t think it was ever released OTA as a Power Up, however. At least I didn’t see it in the list of Power Ups distributed thus far. I agree with @HammaMan — it should still be available on FDRS. But I don’t know why it isn’t showing up under your VIN.

Decided to dive into your history... seems there's been an issue with the inverter before possibly? Only update I've seen in history is the trailer brake controller insofar as FDRS is concerned.

@kcmarvin . Unfortunately, you might not have a quick fix. The software level (at F188) of your DCACA is the same as mine. So, it's up to date.

So, I stand corrected. Given the PTS history above, you might actually have a bad inverter.

Thanks for sharing. I am not aware of any issues with the inverter in the past. The only service calls were for the heat shield attachment recall, wiper blade recall and I believe there may have been a service alert on the high voltage connections possibly being loose. The dealership at the time did not have the equipment for software updates.
Is your recommendation that I apply the updates myself or take it to this dealership in Northern Vermont with little Powerboost experience? I have applied Forscan modifications and have the equipment to apply the updates.

I just saw this. Thanks, I have an oscilliscope coming and will be out of town until mid next week. I will check out the inverter then and post a result. I might as well schedule an appointment with the dealer.
It is interesting that the only device giving me trouble is the Nespresso.
Thanks for all the help!!!

Certainly. Good luck.

You do have other modules that could use some updating, but FORScan unfortunately won’t get you there. If you want yet another excuse to buy a tool, get a Mongoose, if you don’t already have one, and an FDRS license. You can use them to update everything else on the list.

Thanks. I am struggling with the justification to spend $539 for the Mongoose. I think I will check the inverter output with the oscilloscope then take it to the dealer for the module updates and possibly the inverter replacement. If the dealer can't do the updates then I'll get the Mongoose. I will not attempt any updates using my ODBLink EX.
If all this fails, I may have a good deal on a used Nespresso coffee maker. :)

An update is coming next week.
