So these are the wrong plugs for ProPower to 30 amp Trailer?

That looks like an RV50A male to two RV 30A female.

I don't know why you couldn't plug that into a ProPower L14-30P to RV 50A adapter?

I've done exactly that on several occasions using what I pictured earlier on the tailgate of my truck.

I found the ParkWorld one posted above on the .ca site (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07P4DFX5H...colid=TYMVRH2VN0UU&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) It looks like it would work without any other dongles.

What gives me pause though is the 10awg wire, I would expect larger wire especially for the shared neutral (although I think if both legs are being used then the neutral may cancel out but as you can tell I'm not an electrician)

I have a multiplus in my trailer so I'll just plug mine into the 20a plug and plug my buddy into the 30a plug using this single adapter (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0024E71BQ...colid=TYMVRH2VN0UU&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it)

Sorry, I assumed you had your truck, already.

Here is the pic of the ProPower 240V/30A (but also 2 x 120V/30A) connector.

It is a NEMA L14-30R female socket.

The connectors are Gnd, Neutral, 120VAC and 120VAC. You can use it as 240VAC if you are driving 240V loads.

The adapter you saw above wasn't intended to be plugged directly into ProPower. Instead it was a typical dongle that some RV'ers have in their arsenal in case they get a camping spot that the 30A RV outlet doesn't work or doesn't exist. It allows them to adapt the RV 50A outlet to 1 or 2 RV 30A outlets

The other adapter, that does plug into the ProPower L14-30 outlet, would be plugged in first. It adapts the 2 ProPower 120V banks into a traditional RV 50A outlet.

There's a lot of options for RV'ers and the 7.2KW ProPower system. A boondocking dream machine.

Ok,
I understand now - I hadn’t looked at the actual Pins in details, this makes sense.

Thanks for the help and advice on this

While it would be nice if it were a little more stout, keep in mind that it's not very long. I'm no electrician but I don't think at that short of length that it would typically be an issue.

But dang that Canadian price is painful! At that price it SHOULD have more copper!

Youve gotta be really careful about this. If you find 14-30P to 6-50R adapter, which I have seen sold. Youre going to damage your RVs electrical system or start a fire. The 7200 watts is, like all 240V connections. Just two phases of 120. But because they are out of phase you are going to run two phases through a single phase system. Your best bet is the wire high draw appliances like AC and the microwave to their own shore power plug and then use the splitter like snakebitten has stated.

There are no 240V RVs out there they are all 120V. Lots of people think they are 240V because of their dryer plug in their house looks like an RV plug. This is definetly not true. All RV plugs are 120V. NOT 240V.

I'm curious how you think this would happen with ProPower. The system has been shown to be very sensitive with over-current and shutting down. There's no way you'll pull 50A even if the RV can add the truck will shut off power first.

Connecting 50Amp RV's to generators with 240V outlets is both common and done with proper adapters. Although with a 240/30A outlet on the generator, the 50A RV is not getting a full 12KW watts, but rather 7.2KW

RV appliance use would need to be conservative appropriately. :)

I'm talking about being careful on the trailer side. Trailers are not 220v, they ar 110v. Plugging a 220v plug into a 110v adapter will burn up your fuse box on your trailer. I'm not worried about the truck at all. It's the cheaply built trailers with Chinese wire to worry about.

I think you are misunderstanding how the adaptors are made.

There is no 240v passing through the 240 to 30amp RV adaptor. They leave one of the hot legs out.

And on the 50 amp, the legs are split at the panel box. Think of it as 2, 120v sub panels, in the same box.
