I actually thought about wrapping the top of mine in matte black like Sam Mizer's Space White F150 from Backroad Driver so I kind of like the look of the Heritage Edition. I don't know if I like it enough to order one sight unseen though. Have to see one in person first, which the way things are going may not be until the 76th anniversary.

Like a few mentioned above, it’s a big swing and a miss without a white option. I don’t even buy white trucks, but if I was getting a Heritage Edition, you can bet it would be a white combo. Blue/white, red/white, green/white….those are the real Heritage combination.

And it looks like Avalanche may be replacing Space White since I doubt Ford would have two colors so similar.
why not add a 6th white option?

yeah, not even close.

Can I post a pick of a red/grey SAAB and declare they look the same?
It wasn't a formal Declaration, just a little fun. The cutline shape on the two-tone treatment gives it a 3-D look resembling cladding.

I am fully aware they do not look the same.

I would be in the market for this in concept, but the two tones are not at all like the classics. The contrast color is dark and (except for the avalanche) the base color is fairly dark.

This site has Ford 15/00 paint colors going back 50 years, it's pretty incredible how conservative and limited it has become. The "murdered out" era seems to never go away (and yes I'm driving a carbon grey).

Sorry but red two tone F150 trucks existed way before the Avalanche. There just was no need to bring up Chevy.

Meh. Not really digging it.

This heritage paint break worked better in my opinion:

The farm trucks I remember from my youth were generally white roof (probably at least partially for a practical reason since you sat in hot sun and no A/C) with the rest red or green or blue...maybe some more white on the lower half. They also had 8 foot boxes...but that's a different discussion.

One of the coolest parts and hidden Easter Eggs of the "75 Year Anniversary Edition" is that if you order it today, it won't be built and ready to pick up for 75 years.

there's something friendly and fun about the white with a bright color, which is very rare to see in any vehicle. the old trucks look like a broken-in pair of jeans vs. trucks now are the suit in "iron man"...

Think Ford got themselves a bit confused on this one.

- It's 75 years, so we've gotta have a "heritage edition"... let's do it with paint and/or stickers.

- But wait, you can't take a 1970s era paint job and throw it on today's f150, it'll look ridiculous, we want this to be universally appealing.

- But wait, our supply chain is still messed up, we can't be engineering new body panels, grilles, etc to make an old school paint job look reasonable.

- Ok, let's take the concept (wide, body-side stripe), and find the least offensive, and least expensive way to take that concept.

And voila... you have the 75th anniversary edition. Somewhat classy looking, non-offensive, and has a "concept" that can be tied back to history, even if it doesn't really resemble history at all.

So what are odds avalanche will be offered as a stand-alone color option?? Count me in for that.
