  1. Bluecruise expiring Dec 31,2023?

If you received BlueCruise through an OTA update then you have a 2021 Job1. Those trucks were given a year subscription to BlueCruise from the day they were activated which was then later extended to the end of 2023. All later trucks came with BlueCruise pre-installed. The package that came...
  2. is this normal, ever time I open a door, engine off, the center display, console starts

If (a big IF) screen burn were to happen it would happen with the images that were on screen all the time while driving: The top menu The bottom menu The side bar The gauges on the instrument cluster All those things are static on screen for the hundreds and thousands of hours you are...
  3. 2.7.4 Update

That's not what that setting does. There is no way to turn the driver monitor alerts off (except not using BlueCruise or Adaptive Cruise w/ lane centering). WHAT IS DRIVER ALERT Driver alert alerts you if it determines that you are becoming drowsy or if your driving deteriorates. HOW DOES...
  4. New Power-Up OTA Update 4.2.4

Depends on your definition of "fair", I guess. We've had physical buttons and wheels for climate control this whole time. The MachE and Lightning have only had the touchscreen until this update. It allows the screen's giant volume wheel to be used for temperature too.
  5. OTA Power Up Updates FIX!! [Triggering an OTA Update]

The truck doesn't have a 5G antenna but that's not important. If we could see your history it would probably show the update "campaign" released for your truck during that workday. Then when you turned it on to leave work the truck phoned home, saw the update for the first time, and started...
  6. New OTA Update 4.2.3

If it was public Wi-Fi with an agreement/terms and conditions page you needed to go through you couldn't connect the truck. Now it will allow you to see a browser window to join those types of public Wi-Fi.
  7. OTA Power Up Updates FIX!! [Triggering an OTA Update]

The fact is that the vehicle isn't checking for updates constantly. It's only "phoning home" when it wakes up. AKA when you open the doors to set the brake and turn off the lights. Or when haven't driven it for a week and then go get gas. You would have the same result just turning it on for a...

  9. Ultimate Powerboost Roadtrip: 8600 miles to Yellowstone and Back!

Maybe it would have been. But sometimes the journey is part of the fun. I'll probably never do something like that again but I can now say I've been on a classic American cross-country road trip.
  10. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I used FDRS to update from the pre-Alexa version I was stuck at to having all updates installed. When I did the first APIM update I got the Alexa icon when it finished but I never set it up. I did get the email from Ford and it shows up in my Connected Services. However after installing a few...
  11. Power-Up 4.2.1. OTA software update installed today

I manually updated from the pre-Alexa OTA to the 4.2.4 equivalent this week. No issues with CarPlay or streaming so far.
  12. OTA Power Up Updates FIX!! [Triggering an OTA Update]

Nope. Not wrong. That Reddit post is from January which is when Ford started pushing the 3.5.3 update to everyone. Same thing that is happening this week. Here are some posts from January: And posts from yesterday reporting the update being pushed out again:
  13. OTA Power Up Updates FIX!! [Triggering an OTA Update]

Ford started pushing out updates again to a lot of people this week. The various "check my Vin" threads here have all started reporting queued updates for folks since yesterday. It was a coincidence. You can only get an update if Ford decides to send it. If you had done this same thing last...
  14. BlueCrusie hands free-Not Impressed

I used BC for my recent 8600 mile road trip and it worked great 99% of the time. When it didn't it was usually because lane markings were not clear or sun glare. Basically if you have trouble seeing the lanes, the car will too and ask you to take over. When it was working it was great to have...
  15. Lane Assist Alert or Aid.... But not Both

There is a diagram in the manual. If you have both, Aid works first and alert only triggers if you go further out of the lane...
  16. COMBINED OMG what the heck just happened

Because technically you didn't select a different memory. You created one. The vehicle let's you save memory functions at speeds but not change between them. The other posters comments about the default Guest profile and the cruise control settings are correct.
  17. Ultimate Powerboost Roadtrip: 8600 miles to Yellowstone and Back!

This one only protected the edge of the hood. It's not a true deflector.
