For me.. I will not cancel my 2021 order to step up with a 2022. the Chips outage will still be here and the same scenario will happen with 2022 line-up. Minor to no change between 2021 and 2022.
I'm thinking seriously about ordering a 2022 as I'm afraid 2021 Lariat will still be sitting on an obscure parking lot when the 2022's come out.

I ordered on 3/24, pushed my dealer for info on vin etc, found out it was built and sent off site, for bed liner presumably, with an eta end date of 5/21, then about 3 days before the 21 it changed to end date of 8/20 , which pissed me off no end! From what I gather on the forums the April builds are being parked awaiting chips parts or whatever and vehicles with may 1st build dates on are already at the dealers. My dealer has a couple that just came in which were built in may, so you may get lucky. Looks like I just missed the cut! Hoping it arrives before August but doesn’t look good!

Yep mine was 4/26 build date. It seems they are building the trucks coming through now completed with new chip allocation and not finishing the ones that are parked. I don’t anyone knows of a game plan as to when they will start completing the parked trucks. Last I heard there were some 22000 trucks awaiting parts, and you know it’s probably much higher than that.

Lucky you only bumped 8, I went from Aug 14th to Oct 31st today. :(
Oh that is crazy, and I fear the same thing will happen to me, my only hope is it just shows up at the dealers early like others have mentioned. Any idea on your end the reasoning? Some have said bedliners are an issue, though you would think Ford would reach out to option the removal of items where applicable to mitigate some of the issues.

The flood of 10/31s have started. I don't have bedliners, it just seems they were getting full trucks completely made in May and no idea on how much they are going back to all the trucks produced in March/April that they only 99% finished.

It's getting to be that time of year ladies and gentlemen. With a great find from our own @succeed23, we now have the first draft on the production timetable for the end of the 2021 model year and the beginning of the 2022 model year.

Looks like the conclusion of the 2021 model year will run into September. If you want to place an order for a 2022 Ford F-150, the order books open 09/15/2021. Similar to the 2021 model year, the Claycomo plant runs about a month behind Dearborn.

Here is the estimated production timetable listed below:

Per Friday's FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin), the updated scheduling and production timetable has been released for the 2021/2022MY F-150.
  • 2021 Ford F-150 End of model year dates:
  • 06/04/2021 - 2021MY Fleet Final Order Due Date
  • 09/02/2021 - 2021MY Last Day to Spec Change (DTP)
  • 09/30/2021 - 2021MY Last Day to Spec Change (KC)
  • 11/14/2021 - 2021MY Balance Out Date (DTP)
  • 12/05/2021 - 2021MY Balance Out Date (KC)

  • 2022 Ford F-150 Beginning of model year dates:
  • 09/15/2021 - 2022MY Order Bank Open Date (DTP)
  • 09/15/2021 - 2022MY Order Bank Open Date (KC)
  • 10/14/2021 - 2022MY Scheduling Begins (DTP)
  • 10/14/2021 - 2022MY Scheduling Begins (KC)
  • 11/15/2021 - 2022MY Job #1 Date (DTP)
  • 12/06/2021 - 2022MY Job #1 Date (KC)
Question for the dense here (me)...I have a 3/8 order date and was bumped from 6/8 to 10/31 when the Death Star moved into view...

Does the End of Model Year 2021 schedule date of 11/14/21 mean that they must have the 2021's out the Dearborn manufacturing plant door? And... does that mean clearing the inventory building on the dreaded ramp 59 as well?

Out the door, I would say yes. Awaiting small parts such as microchips at Ramp 59, not so much. I’d say they could hold those 2021 trucks over several months worse case scenario.

I’ve seen dozens of people awaiting production get bumped to this 10/31/2021 build date. It appears it could be a placeholder date until they can get caught up and get the logistics of everything figured out. Hopefully it’s earlier for all of you still waiting.

10/31 should be the last week (or at least very close to) the end of the 2021 model year production. 2022 production begins 11/15. That would only give them a little less than three weeks for any plant retooling if necessary.

When is it likely we will see any changes for 2022? I like the Sport trim but hate that merlo color on the black leather. Thinking they will dump that.
