That's the problem. They are supposed to be in sequence. Ford just screwed you out of bluecruise via the OTA process.

No OTAs in queue at this time. This is good news since Ford is pushing out updates that are out of sequence onto truck with older software like yours that will cause bigger issues down the line like the truck referenced above this post.

I’ve already had a response from my state AG requesting more information. Maybe that’s the way to get Ford on the ball.
If this were a phone provider the hounds would already be on them.

Requesting more info? It doesn't matter who you involve at this point. If I understood what was told to me correctly, this is a problem beyond what any dealership can do. It is now an engineering issue.

My complaint was not with the dealer but with Ford’s misleading marketing. In fact, I pointed out in my original letter that the dealers were not being adequately compensated for software updates. Typically this type of complaint is shared with other states and as a group they take action. And it’s happened before.

In your case, no cameras in motion and no pro trailer back up assist. Based on your profile pics, those are things you might actually use.

The re-opened the 21G01 campaign for BC programming again. It says that if the truck is on Sync 22293, to skip over to the 4.x.x updates. A truck on Sync 22293 should already have BC. It'd be funny if it weren't for the fact that people are getting screwed out of things they paid for.
Edit: Actually, no. It says if the truck is on Sync 22177 or above, it tells you go to perform 10 ignition cycles to update the BC map subscription date. A truck on 22177 is missing the IPC updates needed for BC, as well as 2.8.1, 2.8.2 and 2.8.3. It doesn't even mention sync 22192 which is where the truck should be after performing BC programming. 5 months with the program on hold, and they still can't get it right.

For those of us behind on the times, stuck in the 2.7's (2.1.0 for me), would it be wise to turn off automatic updates until Ford gets their update process together?
Or is it just time to get on the mongoose list and buy a 2 day license to perform these all myself...

Do it yourself, you'll get the truck you actually bought and it will be completed on your timeline. More importantly you won't be relying on Ford's very shitty OTA rollout process.

I’m not really concerned with BC, Alexa or games. Although I respect those who are. It would at least be interesting to try the trailer backup assist with stickers just to see if I could use it here and there since I have the option on my truck.
