I feel like a dolt. I've removed wiper arms from the past three F-150s I've owned, but my 2022 is baffling me. Simply levering out and holding the spring loaded clip and then cocking the arm to 90 degrees helps not a bit, it feels like the wiper arm is absolutely welded to the shaft (both driver's and passenger's sides). No amount of tugging produces any free play at all, either rotational or up/down. I'm pulling HARD when I do it, so much I'm worried about damaging the motor mount or shaft. There's no obvious corrosion around the wiper motor shafts, and the truck's exposed to the elements only about half a year (over the past two years).
Is it possible I'm missing something very obvious? Again, I'm not unfamiliar with the process. Any suggestions at all appreciated.
