My original wiper blades are still good at 23,500 miles. I do need to clean some hard water deposits off the windshield though.

I guess there is a wide range of variability in the motorcraft wiper blade quality.

I treat wiper blades like home air filters. I buy cheaper ones and replace them often.

Happy to see I am not the only one. At the same time, I really expected more from wiper blades.

One year and 15k, mine are about ready for their first new blades. They've seen one light winter and not much in the way of rain. 26 inch....they're big.

Built in May delivered in July and wipers were trash from the beginning. Just replaced them the other day cause there’s been a lot more rain lately. So much better now. My wife’s 2020 Edge still has original blades and they work great.

I’ve been having good luck with the Piaa silicone windshield wipers.

They are still running strong on my old truck that I sold years ago after installing. I used to keep my old wiper blades on until it rains and then swap out for ones I kept in the center console. Otherwise, before that I would need a new set of wiper blades every time in rained because the heat would destroy the natural rubber.
I lived in Phoenix all thru the 80s
Wiper blade replacement was every six months because of the heat and sun.
Every other oil change, new wipers.
Air filter once a year.
That air was pretty dusty despite the bright clear skies—kinda miss it.

That being said, now in south Texas, and usually parked ‘nose into the sun’, the wipers seem to last a bit longer.

my f150 is nearing 2 yrs and 25k and the wipers are still in pretty good shape.
But then, I am more prone to wash the windshield when covered with bugs as opposed to trying to wipe them off.

Will probably have them replaced at the next service visit.

Yes, they are horrible. Lots of streaking with light rain. I am going to replace them next week. (My truck is only 10 months old.

2022 XLT mid blend 3-26-22 delivers
11 Apr 22. My drivers side was bad from day 1, 6 miles on the truck. I Picked it up in the rain and asked for a new wiper. Service Said I had to make an appointment. Bah I bought one from the parts window and never went back to that dealer. Passenger is failing at 9 months and 9000 miles. Very disappointed.
My 2016 f150 wipers lasted 3 years from new.
Yeah Ford is getting really cheap on stuff. But the MSRP keeps going up.

The wipers are one of the few things that actually work great on my truck. They have been through many heavy snow storms, frozen to the windshield, and scraped a ton of mud from the trails.

I agree with you. My wife’s 2019 F150 and my 2022 and the blades suck. Very streaky and not all that great. At least it’s an easy fix.

They don't cost that much. Just buy new ones. Possibly spend a little more and get a better quality.

4k miles on my truck. Built in June. They have always been pretty streaky. I better put some good ones on my Christmas list!
