What are your PowerBoost ECT and Tranny operating temps ?

Just as title says, I would want to see what other PowerBoost owners see in their IPC. With my PowerBoost, my ECT stabilizes between 190-203F, but my tranny temp sometimes creeps up to 212F. It has been quite warm here in Texas the last couple of days, with ambient temps getting to upper 80s, and since this is my first PowerBoost, I would want to know if this is normal

If you have FORScan mod enabled to show ECT and tranny temps, would you mind sharing them here ? Below is mine:

Those seem to be about right. Transmissions usually go up to about 220-230, and your coolant temp seems right on par. As long as transmission isn't getting 230+ I wouldn't worry about it. Its the temperature cycles that wears the transmission more than holding at a specific temperature (unless its overheating, of course).

My tranny temps will go into the 200's, but it takes a lot longer for the tranny to get up to temperature than the Engine Coolant.
Engine coolant rarely if ever has hit 200. It's a 189-198F truck.
(My 2018 3.5 Ecoboost was a 208-216 ECT truck)

The tranny fluid in the 10r80 isn't our dad's or grandpa's tranny fluid. It can get a lot hotter before it starts to burn. Honestly I don't even think 230 would cook it.

My ECT gets up to 215-220 on the highway, but I have a decent feeling that’s due to my exhaust heat exchanger issue. I seem to remember it being 185-195 before the issue cropped up

According to https://www.f150hub.com/trans/10r80.html, The expected normal operating temps for the trans is 206-215.

Mercon ULV is a super low viscosity fluid (Ultra Low Viscosity, actually), with a really high viscosity index. That means the viscosity doesn't change nearly as much with temperature as older fluids. So it's already thin to start with, and keeps from getting too thin with high temperatures. The transmission is designed around this thin fluid.

Older fluids would get too thin with heat, which would cause too low a viscosity, which would cause poor lubrication and mechanical breakdown. Older transmissions wouldn't handle to too thin fluid.

I believe the gauge doesn't even read red until 250.
