  1. 22 powerboost squeaking

Dropped the truck off with dealer. Hope it gets fixed soon :(
  2. 22 powerboost squeaking

    Found the culprit 😕
  3. 22 powerboost squeaking

Mine is Max Tow package and the squeaking is most noticeable when brakes are applied. I would have sworn it’s the brake pads being worn down but after close inspection, that is not the case. I am aware of the axle bolt shearing off issue but from my understanding that would cause rather a...
  4. 22 powerboost squeaking

I have squeaking that comes from under the rear axle, mostly when braking, I thought its the rear brake pads but after inspecting both brakes I can tell for sure it is not the brake pads being worn down. It is quite annoying and would like to get to the bottom of what is causing this. People who...
  5. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

assuming the servo-buddy solution works. If mine fails again, and part is not available, I would definitely try that, either though I have an extra solenoid valve now laying around, that I removed from my bike 😎
  6. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

When the butterfly valve is closed position the exhaust gases do not pass directly to the outlet but are redirected to the heat exchanger radiator. The valve is open by default and is in closed position only when idling and warming up the engine. Once engine up to operating temp the valve is...
  7. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

The exhaust valve solenoid that is failing here for many of us does not control the flow of the coolant, it controls the butterfly valve in the exhaust, that when closed, redirects the hot exhaust gases into the heat exchanger. This valve is open by default. So, technically, you should be able...
  8. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

I've been looking into exhaust heat exchanger delete myself last year when my then brand-new truck would leak coolant not even 600 miles into ownership and replacement part backordered with no ETA off back order. The biggest challenge I faced was to get the PCM happy without the bypass valve...
  9. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

I was told by the dealer as well as per the TSB SSM51134, that the leaks are no longer handled by replacing the "inlet muffler pipe" (heat exchanger) assembly anymore. They are instructed to replace the coolant spigots only.
  10. Heat exchanger - I thought I was over this crap

Yup, same thing happened to me! Muffler inlet pipe (with heat exchanger) replaced last April, after 24k miles started throwing P2C22 and P237C codes at PCM with CEL illuminated on dash. No leak from heatexchanger though. I got extremely lucky this time, as the dealer had the part available at...
  11. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

Yes, the “muffler inlet pipe” part got an update: NL3Z-5A212-B (5.5 short bed) NL3Z-5A212-C (6.5 long bed)
  12. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

Okay, so I went to see the dealer today, explained my fault codes, and that CEL light is on (it came on last night) and guess what, they tell me, they have the part in stock, right at the dealership. WOW! I left the truck there in the morning, picked it up same day in the afternoon with a new...
  13. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

Yup, both codes return after clearing. SM refers to monitor the EHE_EBVA_POS_ST PID on PCM, guess what mine shows: The SM then suggest to INSTALL a new muffler inlet pipe. I will go to visit my dealer tomorrow morning and see what he says
  14. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

I thought I will never come back to this thread, at least not with bad news, but fate has its irony on its own it seems. I have put 24,000 miles on the truck since my exhaust heat exchanger was replaced. And till today, it holds up well, no leak, its bone dry. However, as of yesterday, I have...
  15. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

NOTICE: I have updated the guide in the OP and removed references to the old VCX Nano interface. Only Mongoose-Plus or Bosch's VCM interfaces are supported at this point
  16. Dangerous B&O sound system issue

I've been silently watching this as well as other threads regarding this issue myself. I have B&O Unleashed in my '22 PowerBoost Platinum with over 20k miles on the truck and several cross-country trips and have never had this issue. Not even once! It's a fact though, we never use the AM/FM nor...
  17. Windshield replacement worry about camera?

I would strongly suggest to go with Ford OEM glass. I'ts not just about the Ford "logo" but the glass comes pre-wired with all the necessary components (including the heating element) and wire harness. Once replaced all you have to do is to plug in the ADAS camera, and the rain sensor (if you...
  18. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

Hey guys, just checking in here. I just hit 11,000 miles on my truck, still no leak, not a drop of coolant missing. I think I trust my truck enough to drive around without coolant jug in my bed lol
  19. Would FORScan modifications prevent OTAs?

Unless you mess up some OTA critical data in your As-Built in modules such as GWM/TCU or BCM you should be fine. Most of us here are messing with ForScan all the time and if done carefully it should not affect your OTA
  20. 360 Camera Calibration

Here's in TX, most of the parking lots are concrete with white painting on them, so I would not be achieve a contrast such as with a lot with asphalt and white painting. Also, as you might have guessed, my FW in all my modules is up to date :D
