I've called Ford marketing and Norfolk Southern. Both told me I have to go through my dealer for information. My dealer told me they will look into it now. They have no knowledge of this nor any knowledge on what to do in a situation like this. Just hoping for good news.

WOW! Looks like some Transits too. It looks like the front of the train is in tact and the rear just the middle is all scrambled. Did someone pull the rail switch from the gravel yard and derail the middle of the train? Coupling come unhinged and pull off the emergency brakes actuation lever?

Good catch. If transits are there, chances are it was coming from Kansas City. That means the Dearborn builds will probably be unaffected.

I'm no logistic expert, but that route shouldn't have any dependency on the line impacted by this derailment. Where this derailed is about half way between that line and St. Louis just west of the IL/MO border. If they re-route I would expect perhaps more traffic but KC and Omaha are the major hubs that would probably see more volume.
