How many miles on your 2.7 and what have you had to replace?

I haven't seen much on the 2018+ motors. TONS of people like the guy above with 306k that are thrilled with the 1st gen 2.7, which checks out because it's a known solid motor. The 2.7L is by far the most trouble free powertrain choice.
What is your concern with the current generation of the 2.7?I haven't seen much on the 2018+ motors. TONS of people like the guy above with 306k that are thrilled with the 1st gen 2.7, which checks out because it's a known solid motor.
Let's do some reality math. I'm 58 so 30 years left if I'm lucky and take care of myself. That's two more trucks not counting this one at 10 years and 150k miles before selling. Most people drive 10-15k per year.
5 years would be 75k.
My 2011 was getting the start up timing rattle again before I bought my new to me truck last year. That would have been the third time replacing phasers and other timing parts. Solid motor outside that but it annoyed me.C'mon phasors hang in there till Daddy saves up some more money!
6.2 was the only motor worth its weight in the 11-14 trucks imo. The early 5.0’s had the oblong cylinder #8, and occasionally crisped the valves back there. 3.5 EB had the piston skirt cracking issue and timing chain failures. The 6.2 just sat pretty, lots of those guys now with 200-300k and not a peep out of the engine. It’s crazy to me the best engine (most powerful and most reliable) had the lowest take rate. People give fuel economy way too much thought imo, in the wrong vehicle if ur worried about being frugal. If the 6.2 was still an option I’d have 100% taken it.My 2011 was getting the start up timing rattle again before I bought my new to me truck last year.
