Hey All,

Just recently I have noticed a whining noise when my truck is parked, at idle. Only have 800 miles on the engine. Any one else experience this?

Yup, I've noticed the exact same thing when idling. Kind of a subtle whining noise. Only about 500km on my truck.

It's the transmission from what iv'e read - seems like a universal sound for the 21's with 10 speeds. Mine does it too and i have a 5.0.

Seems excessive for a tranny whine

Noticing the same noise as well - 200km on my truck.
Had heard the same with another 2.7 I'd previously test-driven.
A bit disconcerting for sure.

Hi there! Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to see how I can assist you with the noise concern you have with your F-150.

Fusion Sport 2.7 EcoBoost
I have a 2017 Fusion Sport which has the 2.7L EcoBoost V6. It is 99.9% identical to the 2015-2016 F-150 2.7 EcoBoost (differences are the turbo packaging and the rotational direction of the rotating assemblies) otherwise same engine/cams/heads/etc...

I have noticed the supercharger whine as well. I believe it started around 15k miles or so. I don't recall it being there when brand new. I can hear it whenever I apply throttle. I don't believe it is the transmission because it occurs when cold idling (at a high enough RPM in the winter during a cold start). Also if I coast down at highway speeds and gently apply throttle I can hear it as well.

My 3.5L EcoBoost in the SHO started to sound like a MRAP closer to 30k miles as well mainly during cold starts and driving away from home in the winter.

I read somewhere that it was a transmission fluid pump and that it's normal for these 10 speeds.
