Does anyone know if the regular 10 speed high capacity pans fit our transmission? Anyone added a transmission cooler?

If I'm not mistaken, the 10-speed transmission has a cooler built into it, employing coolant from the front radiator. Thus, the easiest solution would be a larger core radiator to increase both coolant volume and surface area for heat dissipation.

(I'll let the masses pile on to correct my inaccuracy...) ;)

The 10 speed needs to be hot to operate properly and if you lower temp will effect operation and emissions

Recall that the PowerBoost transmission is a somewhat longer body because of the electric motor/alternator on the front. Don't know for sure if this applies but the transmission filter is not the same size as the non-hybrid transmission. They cannot be interchanged.

I want some clarification on this, and don;t know where to find it. My assumption based upon very limited information is that the PB ICE and transmission are off the shelf parts and could be bolted together to form the powertrain for any other 3.5 EB F150. I.e. the electric module is built to be a fully optional add on between those two otherwise normal units. I would love solid information on this, as I have very little to go on.

I wish! It's a unique 10R80-MHT. Just different enough that it's a unique pan. Trying to find a high capacity pan is all.

I go with the adage that if it ain't broke don't fix it. Decades ago a transmission cooler was important for towing. With your transmission if the ATF exceeds 300 degrees when towing then definitely add or upgrade the cooling. If it runs at 250 degrees then forget about it.

What I can say definitively is that the filter for the PB transmission is not the same as the non-PB transmission and cannot be substituted into the non-PB transmission. As to specifically the difference, length, etc, I do not know.

The transmission is cooled solely by engine coolant. When the turbos dump heat into the coolant it becomes less capable of cooling the transmission. More transmission fluid just delays the inevitable. The Raptor has an external air/fluid cooler separate from the engine I think. PB uses the space unfortunately.
I could be wrong lol.

Has anybody considered or implemented something like https://www.summitracing.com/parts/der-13262?rrec=true I.e. mounted on the frame away from exhaust, etc. heat?

I haven’t done a thermal analysis since I am not sure that we should be cooling the transmission anyway. But I do tow a little and even in SoCal cool temperatures have seen some high transmission temperatures.
