I was disappointed that the 2023 F150 got rid of the glove box light. My 2017 Escape had one (and a dampened glove box, but I could go on) and it wasn't until I got the F150 that I realized how much I really did appreciate the light.
The cheapest and fastest solution I found was from Etsy. It's a small LED light that turns off and on based on human motion when the glovebox is opened. It stays on as long as the sensor detects motion, and turns off after a few seconds otherwise. The battery is a 2032 button cell which seems easy enough to change out.
It was originally created for some Volkswagen, but it works well enough mounted to the back of the F150's glovebox using 3M mounting tape. It's small enough and I'm tempted to get another one for the upper glovebox or for the storage area underneath the rear seat.
I posted this in the "What did you do to your F150" thread, but I think it deserves its own post.
