So this is a bit of an unexpected problem. Went to fold my folding storage and one of the latches broke. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them before.
I'll be going to the dealership tomorrow to see if it's warranty covered and if I can get an extra latch. It seems like it's all...
I'm not sure if it's changed, but I had to order through my dealership. The bonus was they were willing to price match and shipping was free. I think the Truck Lot in Manitoba does Fordpass points online.
I would argue you have the easiest engine to do an oil change on. Your oil drain plug is a plastic locking plug that can control the oil drain speed. No need to torque it down when re-installing. Your oil filter is right on top of the engine and doesn't spill when opened. Lastly, the truck...
I've gotten as low as 7.2l/100km (32.7 MPG) on the highway and average 10.3l/100km (22.8 MPG) around town with the 2.7L. I have the 3.55 rear end. It's got great low-end torque and decent horsepower, it's overbuilt for what it is, it's the most reliable engine in the lineup, and oil changes on...
If Ford can step up quality enough to take care of the issues we've been having, we're in for a good few years. Imagine not having to replace your battery to fix electric gremlins or quirks. Currently, my biggest problem with my F150 is my OCD when it comes to the 8" instrument cluster in my XLT...
Hey, just had a couple of questions for those who have done this swap. Please move if this belongs in a different sub-forum.
I'm looking at upgrading my 8" IPC to the 12" IPC in the Lariat.
1. For programming the new IPC, do I just load my Forscan as built from my existing cluster, along with...
Just a question for those really into Forscan...
I'm pricing out a swap from the 8" instrument cluster in the XLT to the 12" instrument cluster in the Lariat. I can get a new Lariat cluster in Canada without having to deal with exchange rates and duties.
If I have a blank 12" cluster, am I...
It's unseasonably warm this year. But it'll go down to -50C in the winter normally. Fuel is either trucked in when the roads are good enough or flown in on a DC-3 with a fuel bladder. You fuel up at the Northern Store.
Until recently the community ran off a diesel generator. Since it's been...
It seems like this forum has tended more negatively in recent months, which is to be expected. Less people will come to a forum to post about their perfectly functional trucks than their problematic truck. Let me post a different perspective.
I'm working in a remote reserve in Northern Ontario...
I live in God's country and absolutely love having a full sized truck out here.
I have no issues driving it in Toronto, but I absolutely detest trying to park it in the city.
A Ranger would make more sense for the city dweller who wants a truck. My coworker has a Colorado because it'll fit on...
I'd be more concerned if this was a known problem among the wet belts in the 2.7 and 5.0. The 2.7 is arguably the most reliable engine in the lineup now that the 3.3 is gone. The 3.3 was known for reliability yet its the only engine I've had self destruct under full throttle. Defective engines...
That was me that pointed that out. You'd be far better spending your money on a third party solution. Thieves will eventually figure out an OEM solution. A third party solution is a bit more involved and if there's easier targets nearby they'll go for those.
For shits and giggles I decided to drive 105km/h for 200 km when I went to get my IGLA installed... 32.7 MPG equivalent.
I, however, enjoy the boost in Ecoboost so I won't be seeing these numbers ever again. :ROFLMAO:
I'm skeptical that this will actually do anything to make the F150 more theft proof. Any criminal with two brain cells (or being directed by someone with two brain cells) is going to go after the hardware rather than the software.
Ford seems to think that locking out the head unit will do...
