I have the B&O Unleashed audio in my 23 F-150. I want to add an external amp and subwoofer. If I unplug the factory subwoofer speaker to use as my signal input to an LC2i Pro, will this work. A local audio installer is questioning if it will work but I think it will. Who has this configuration working successfully?

I have an aftermarket amp and 2 12's in an underseat box. I had the bass roll-off issue and an LC2i solved my problem. Some people prefer the Kicker KEYLOC method. I don't know which is better, but I can tell you an LC2i works to solve the problem.

Did you pull the signal from the sub?

I had the audio/video shop I've worked with for years install everything. I can take a look tomorrow and see where they pulled it from. I assume they got it from the factory amp.

Never mind..... it stopped raining. This is what they tapped into. Behind the rear seat on the driver side, so yes, the sub.

True, either will work. The KEY will just tell you what you tapped into...rather a tweeter signal, midbass, etc
But either will do the job.

It looks like most people are leaving the factory sub connected and tapping into the wire for signal. I was planning to disconnect the factory sub but I guess I'll follow in everyone else's footsteps. I'm going with the Audio Control Amp, which basically has the features of the LC2i built in to the amp. Thanks for your help!
