OTA Ford Power-Up 3.5.3 and upcoming Alexa Built-in roll-out

Job 1 2021 Lariat build received 3.5.3 last night after having on charger (coincidence or not?). Previous 3.5.2 update received Oct 6. Not in early access program.

It should be a coincidence, but coincidentally, a few people have reported getting this update recently after connecting their truck to a charger. I may try it tonight to see if I get mine. It won't hurt to try, I guess.

I hate to ask again, but would you mind checking mine? It's been near AT&T, and locked and no wifi, I'm trying a new method.

Interesting. You had 3.5.3.2 sent to you this morning, and it is sitting there and has not downloaded any files yet. The weird part is, while you had 3.5.3.2 in your queue, they sent you 3.5.3.2 again 30 minutes after they sent it the first time, so the second one failed which makes sense since you already had that update in your queue.

Here you are getting it twice and I can't get it once. lol Hopefully it goes through for you.

Maybe coincidence....but I'm seeing this a lot. I know my batter is low because auto start/stop is not working. I will def be putting it on the charger this weekend.

EDIT: I stand corrected, FDRS does not see OTA's.

To check OTA status, you need access to Ford's PTS website.

Well, we know doing nothing won't help. You can try. I don't think you need to park next a tower, but driving it around can't hurt.

To check OTA status, you need access to Ford's PTS website. Unless you pay to use it, it is only available to Ford employees. In my case, I used to work for Ford and I have my connections so I still have access to the site. FDRS is used to see what particular modules have updates pending, but you cannot see OTA stuff with it.

Repost your VIN. Too many posts to dig through to find it again.

Thanks, my truck is in a heated garage every night, I am less than a half a mile form an AT&T tower while at home, I turned off the wifi in SYNC 2 days ago and low and behold I get it this morning, so I think being connected to wifi is the biggest waste of time and it's annoying Ford references it so much.

I'm going to go drive around for a half hour on my lunch break, park next to the actual tower, eat my lunch, then come home and put it on the charger, even though it was just on less than a week ago and I know is full.

I bet we sound ridiculous to outsiders. LOL

I've been getting these updates while driving on I-40 in NC, 60mile drive each way that I take twice per week. Yesterday, Ford Pass told me I got the update after the first 60 miles of the drive.
