And mine gets 19.5 with 6500 miles so far...so the 3.5 PB is definitely not living up to the EPA 24/24 window sticker claim.

Mike
Yeah there are to many factors to consider but there are people on here that get better so idk I probably won’t get it either when I finally get mine because Ima be putting it to floor a decent amount ?

My truck (and many others) came with the Auto Start-Stop (ASS) Delete option for $50 off. I remember seeing a stat that the ASS removal subtracts 1 MPG for City driving, which means my City MPG per EPA is 16 MPG, not 17 MPG as shown on the Window Sticker, right? Can anyone verify or provide a source? I know it's way variable but I think EPA landed on a 1 MPG figure for the ASS function... anyone know?

Of course the auto start/stop delete is only applicable to the non Power Boost trucks.

21 Lariat 4x4 Powerboost, 9K total and 17.1 over that time. Added a Go Fast Camper a couple thousand ago and did about 1500mi of towing at 14 average. I live in a small town so it never heats up and I've seen around 13 for a tank over the winter. I've got 99% on all the "eco ratings" pretty much all the time and milk the electric using the EV coach screen. Hoping things improve as it's broken in and summer temps come around.

I did take a look at Powerboosts on Fuelly and it looks like they generally run around 18-19MPG average. It's no 24/24 though...

You drive it like you stole the thing? I feel like normal 3.5’s get better than that..
I have a 3.5 with Wrangler Duratrac A/T and averaging 19 over the last 14k miles measured by hand. I can get 23+ on flat highway but we almost exclusively are driving over high mountain passes (10k feet +) and the 3.5 seems to be awful as soon as you give it any up and down.

The Duratrac also I think take off 1-2 MPG on top of mediocre ride quality, handling, and winter performance (3PMSF rating was main reason I bought them).

I'm only getting like 2.5mpg on my daily commute. It's horrible.

I mean, my daily commute is taking my daughter down to the bus stop at the end of the street and sitting there and waiting for the bus then driving back (I work from home).

Now that it's warming up I think we should start walking up there again..LOL

22 Lariat SuperCrew, Powerboost, 4x4, 6.5 bed, tonneau cover, 21.6 mpg lifetime (2100 miles) running 87 octane, about to start running 93 octane to see if there is a change. I have noticed its doing better now than the first 5-600 and sometimes short cold trips are awful mileage(8-12 mpg).
I’m also getting 21-22 MPG on my 22 Platinum PB, 4x4, 6.5 bed. No tonneau cover. Haven’t tried 91 Octane (no 93 where I am in California) I’ve had it since July and have ~7000 miles, but no winter driving yet.

Was getting 12-15MPG when hauling a 1000lbs camper.

27.8 on the last tank in my 4x4 Powerboost. 705 miles and had 132 to go supposedly, but I don't run my tank down that low.

Just need to know how to utilize the hybrid system to get the good MPG

That's the truth. I only have about 600 miles on mine but have no problem getting 26 - 29 if I try but we have had a Honda clarity plug in hybrid for over a year and have plenty of time practicing. I really wish the powerboost was a series plug in hybrid. Also according to projections I will get over 800 miles. It gets to be kind of a game getting electric to engage.

I figured I would post an update… truck now has 23,442 miles and I have never reset my trip 1 meter. Avg mpg is 23.1 , I haven’t done any significant towing but haul multiple times a week. I usually run 93 but have to fill up with 87 sometimes and it makes a noticeable mpg difference (I figure 1.5mpg). I doubt it will stay above 23 over the winter.

3.5 EB, 3.31 rear end with 295/60/20 tires and 2 inch level.

relatively level terrain and don't generally drive over 115km/hr (72 mph) and i get:
- 13.5 L/100 km (17.4 mpg) driving mostly highway and empty
- 20 L/100 km (11.8 mpg) towing boat which is probably close to 3000 lbs.

Got 1800 miles on the PB and am regularly getting 22-23 city and 27-28 on the freeway at 65-70 mph with it. That's also with a soft tonneau cover on the bed and a 2.5" front level. It easily hits the same mileage that my 20 Ranger got, and that's what I was hoping for when I traded up.

For comparison my father-in-law's 2016 F150 with the 3.5 eco gets 14-15 in the city and just hits 22 freeway.
