Did that come out of the key fob? I know on my wife’s old Honda with push start there was a similar type of key inside the fob in case the battery died and you needed to unlock the door.

It does look to me to be the key found in the key fob in case it dies or some other tech issue is happening

It looks like the key my SIL has for his locking storage on his 2021 Platty.

I assumed it was for unlocking my spare tire lock/plug. After a few years those can get pretty dusty and hard to turn, and the key that is hidden inside of the fob won't provide much torque when attempting to unlock something like that.

Mine seems to be cut the same as my fob keys, so it doesn't seem to unlock anything different than the other two.

I have the same one, my salesperson handed it to me when I picked up the truck.

I had found one loose in a truck on the lot and called the salesman over to let him know. He said it’s the key for locking the center console. I think it makes more sense that it’s intended for the spare tire. Probably is keyed the same as the center console though.

Mine was on the upper dash.

Texted my salesman. He said valet key. Ummm, dude, push button start. ? And, valet key is designed to NOT work in anything but door and ignition.

Keyed the same as key in fob. Maybe backup if you lose keys and need one cut. But, computer has that info. So, can only imagine it does give ability to use force on spare tire hole if needed.

So surprised Ford dealers/salesmen don't even know it exists. ?‍
