Tire Pressure Question

Looking for someone to educate me.

I previously had a 2020 F150 Screw 2.7 EB RWD, purchased originally with 18” Tires. Recommended Tire pressure on door was 43PSI

I now have a 2022 F150 Screw 2.7 EB RWD, purchased originally with 18” Tires. Recommended Tire pressure on door is 35PSI

Why is there such a big difference in tire pressures for basically the same spec truck (other than the year)

Any chance the 2020 truck had a different tow package or payload package on it?
Otherwise I would say it is strange, but my guess would be that Ford found little to no loss in fuel economy, but gained in ride comfort, so they reduced it.

Or they changed tire brands/models. Every tire manufacturer has different recommendations for their tires, and usage.

I would look up the tire manufacturer and see what they recommend, and roll with that.

Might be the difference between LT tires (higher PSI) and regular stock tires (lower PSI).
